I absolutely love it
I'm in love with this guitar, for a number of reasons. First of all let me just point out the one and only negative aspect of the guitar, and that's that it obviously won't sound as nice and rich as a regular full body classical guitar, since this is a slim body design and the body is almost half the thickness of a standard full body classical. I mean, that's a given, and if someone is looking for the best sounding classical guitar, I doubt they would be shopping for $300 hybrid style guitars like the Ibanez GA35TCEDVS. Now on to the positives, and there are many.1. Being a slim line design is perfect for me since if I want it louder, I plug it in to my amp, headphones, and I can used a multitude of effect pedals with it to really play around with the sound, add some delays, reverb, etc. So the loss of that full body guitar sound is not an issue for me personally at all but it may be different for you. I personally love the way Ibanez GA35TCEDVS sounds both with and without an amp. For my purposed it is perfect.2. I don't know if they did this on purpose, but the small circle inlay on the 7th fret is designed in a way where it shines and stands out more than the 3rd, 5th, 9th, and other inlays. This was a very nice surprised as the 7th fret is used for reference a lot of times in songs, so having it shine out a little brighter is wonderful. I have no idea if other Ibanez GA35TCEDVS models are like this too, if they are, that was a beautiful tough by Ibanez. Sometimes the little things count.3. The neck is not a traditional classical neck which is straight the entire length, the Ibanez GA35TCEDVS neck is more similar to a steel string acoustic where it gets gradually smaller the closer you get to the head stock, and I don't know about others but I find this a LOT more comfortable to play on than a traditional bigger classical body neck.4. The cut out. No need to say much about this other than if you play higher up on the fret board a lot, 12th and higher, this simple cutout is so helpful and makes playing songs easier for me. Less finger gymnastics.5. Built in tuner is very helpful. I have an app on my phone which I've been using 'GuitarTuna' on my phone which is a great free app for quickly tuning guitars, but the onboard tuner of the Ibanez GA35TCEDVS is so easy to use I just use that now. Very helpful.6. Last but not least, the looks. The Ibanez GA35TCEDVS is one of the most beautiful looking acoustic guitars I've ever seen and owned.

Incredible!
This is my first nylon string guitar, and it is perfect for someone who is crossing over from steel string. I was torn between getting a solid body or a thinline, and I'm glad I chose this, because the sound is not bad, even better plugged in. Clear notes, just not a full sound you'd get from a larger body. What impressed me most is that it came set up perfectly out of the box. Remember that it has a TRUSS ROD people, the neck relief can be adjusted unlike most classical guitars. What did you think that hex wrench in the bag was for? The strings that came on it were pretty low tension, so the bass E buzzed a bit, but after I put on hard tension strings, the action was perfect. Of course I also polished the rough frets and conditioned the untreated fingerboard, but at least the fret ends were smooth and the fingerboard edges were comfortable. The only thing I will probably change is the tuners. Still amazing value for the price, you can not do better if this is the type of guitar you're looking for.P.S. not sure why "thickness" needs to be rated, I knew how thick it was when I ordered it. But I gave it five stars anyway.

Very pleasant to play, although slightly different than traditional classical guitar
I had a really great experience with Ibanez Electric and Acoustic, so when started taking Classic Guitar lessons and my teacher said nylon standard guitars were easier, I went for this one.I love that it doesnt look bland like traditional classical guitars, it is much slimmer and that it has the beloved slim neck. Plus the fact you can plug to computer or amp adds versatility.Having said that, be aware that this might actually be slightly more difficult to play than traditional classical, exactly because it is slimmer and narrow neck. Being more robust, the traditional guitar would fit better when you embrace it in the traditional posture, and having bigger neck gives more room to your fingers. But it doesnt look as cool though! lolMy teacher also said that because it has slimmer body, the sound will be lower than traditional, however plugging to amp should solve it. He also said that this uses one strip of pickup receptors for the amp, while more expensive hybrids would have one receptor per string - this is important if you are a pro since each string has different tension. He also mentioned that the strip can become lose and cause buzzing, however in my case it is perfect, I even put my hand inside the hole and everything feels great.Long story short, I think this is the perfect guitar for the modern classical guitar musician. Get it! :-D

I hated this guitar at first.
I bought this guitar because I wanted a nylon but didn’t want to spend a bunch of money on a maybe. I absolutely hated the sound of this guitar at first. To me it sounded like a toy. I changed out the tuners because the oem ones didn’t hold tune very well. Changed to a set of nickel wound hard tendon strings, now that the wood has started to open up it sounds night and day different. I am glad that I bought this and play it all the time. It is very comfortable

Smooth Classical Guitar...
I was looking for a 'thin-line' guitar that is comfortable while siting on my couch for casual play, and easy on the fingers. But, wanted it to sound good too. This guitar delivers in all categories. First - it's a beautiful guitar - dark brown finish is nice. Fret board/action is great. Playing it 'dry' - thin sound - but that is expected as thin as it is. BUT - when I plug it into my 100W Fender Acoustisonic amp (or any amp you might have) - it's sounds amazing! Super fun to play. Good electronics for EQ and tuner. Can play like an acoustic, but with the smaller neck and nylons - can easily bend strings similar to an electric. For the price - should be in every dudes collection.
