A: Most likely, yes. I have a 2015 JKU and I don't think there has been any body style change for the 2017 model.

Works perfectly with my purchase of Pavement Ends #41829-35 Cargo Cover. I have a 2016 JKU hardtop and use the Best Top Header Safari Bikini when I take the top off, but I didn't like the cargo area open, so I purchased the cargo cover on Amazon which you need this tailgate bar for it. Easy to install, a little confusing instructions but after reading other reviews, it was a cinch! Works great!
