Damson Vulcan - Portable Wireless Bluetooth Surround Sound Speaker - Includes Carry Case and Universal Power Adapter (Black)

Very easy hookup to my computer's bluetooth. Excellent sound, bass. Fairly large and heavy for a "portable" bluetooth speaker but I will only be using it around the house so it works fine for me in that capacity. It had been off the charger for a couple weeks while I was traveling and I was disappointed in the length of time that the charge held but that could be due to the period when not in use. This is the first time I used it and thought possibly the first charge did not last so long and would improve with future charges. That and the two weeks of non-use after the initial charge. We'll see. Good cost/value/sound ratio so I can easily recommend it. OK I am changing my review to one star. Upon a lengthy attempt at charging the unit I find that it was hooked up but not charging. Damson rep got back to me in good order but have been unable to fix the problem right off the bat. Will update. 10/30 Still working with customer service but looks like we'll be replacing the Vulcan. Damson has been superb with their customer service which to me is as important as the product itself. I will report back once again after my problem is resolved. 11/23 Damson is sending a replacement speaker. Yay! They had agreed to this some time ago and waited to send it because I have been out of the country and they are sending it to arrive in a more timely manner. Their service has been 5 star all the way and I'll up my review for the speaker to 5 star once I receive it and check it out. Dec 15-I am very happy to say that I have my replacement speaker and it works flawlessly! Sounds great and I heartily recommend this speaker for it's loud, clear sound with lots of bass. The attractive design looks great sitting on my media center by the TV. The customer service from Damson has been totally 5 star (A special shout out to Mark at Damson for never wavering through the process), way beyond what one might expect. If I owned a business I would hire Mark away from Damson in a minute! This has been a lengthy process but as I mentioned earlier I live out of country and had to rely on a timeline of friends visiting the US in order to return my defective unit and receive a new one. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for a great speaker and even greater customer service!

EXCELLENT speaker ! I bought it for my wife, and after we listened to it, I "steal" it quite often for myself ! I can't believe the sound that comes from this little package ! Good base, mid-range, and highs as well. Easy to use, AWESOME battery (charge) life, and the voice prompts tell you exactly what is going on. My ONLY complaint is that the auxiliary cord that came with it OR the auxiliary plug in the back of the speaker is defective. I used a new MP3 player (not Bluetooth enabled) with it, and it wouldn't work until I "jiggled" the cord. I realized it was faulty, so I "flipped" it over, and managed to get it to work. It took a very long time to ship from the UK, so I did not want to wait for another one, and I use it 95% Bluetooth anyway. In spite of the cord problem I experienced, it is worth EVERY penny.

Loud but not clear very bassy, almost muffled sounding.

I saw a review from the YouTube channel by Flossy Carter, and was convinced that this was the best product for the price. I have been using it for over a week, and I was immediately surprised by the amount of sound and bass it produces in a room. I have heard a couple of Bose speakers and this one comes very close. I has my eye on it from some time, but once it hit $62 dollars I could not resist. It is still worth the $149 MSRP but I could not personally spend that much. The device is very simple and intuitive to use, and it does last about 12 hours as is stated. However, the volume level will have an affect on the overall time. At about medium volume it will get about the suggested time, The overall sound is very pleasing as it it well suited from everything from rock to classical music. The subwoofer is small but as it is powered it produce more bass than it should. There is one speak on each side which would be more like tweeters, but they add the feel of surround sound, and the mid range is at the front center. Subwoofer is on the back. Obviously, it being so small the bass is not going to rattle the floor, but it provides enough presence that you know it is there, and it is tight enough to be pleasing. This is a wonderful alternative to the Beats pill or other outrageously priced speakers that has a high quality well rounded sound.

This speaker is sick. I can tell you right now this is a major win as Flossy Carter says in his YouTube review of this speaker. Go watch that before you make the purchase. The price is right, the sound is great, and the style is clean. Comes with a beautiful presentation as well. Damson knew what they were doing when it comes to this speaker.Only thing I don't dig is the loud voice prompts. The louder you have the actual speaker, the louder the voice prompts. They should keep the voice prompts at one level. I also noticed that if you have higher volume on the actual speaker, the more BASS. So control the volume from your phone or tablet and turn the speaker to maximum volume. The bass is ridiculous. Could have a bit more pronounced highs and mids, but they're there. I'm no Audiofile but I know good sound. I also have the Jam Storm and the Beatbox Portable. They're both sick as well.Overall this is 5 stars for the price, the sound, the design, and the presentation.

I got this Bluetooth speaker, don't know much about this brand, but is awesome. The connection is lighting fast, the sound is really loud and clear with very low distortion. 5 speakers all together makes it a 360 sound machine. I loaded an equalizer to my phone and the sound is amazing. Damson brand may be knew hare in the States , but I will said that is better than the JBL Charge3 for the money. The base is crazy, with very accentuated mid and the highs are adequate. Good speaker for the price and the quality of sound.

Firstly this speaker arrived very promptly and the packaging was of a nice quality and sleek which is great if giving as a gift. Within hours of receiving it I received an email from Damson (the Amazon order was dispatched from them) saying they hoped everything is as expected and to contact immediately if not. The speaker itself has a good solid feel to it with metal grills and firm controls. Operation is simple and straight forward. I read one review that said the introduction voice that says "Hello and Goodbye" was a bit loud. It's not a whisper, but it's also not a nasal North American accent that you get on some products, so not a problem. The overall sound is great with really nice separation in the acoustics and mid range, but where it really stands out is when the volume is turned up and the bass kicks in.This is where it performs brilliantly and retains great sound quality across a range of music genre. All of this is indoors as I have yet to try it outside. Battery life is good and it looks really nice when sat on the coffee table etc. Finally, I like the fact that this is a small and innovative company and you get the feeling that they really care about their product and the customer, so all in all I'm a very happy one. Based on the Vulcan I'm now considering buying one of the Damson Cisor speakers.

I think the Damson Vulcan is amazing!, from design, how it fells, the price most of all the sound hits hard and i tested it the whole day I tried different kinds of songs from pop, RnB, Grimm etc and it delivers, I even went out for couple of hours and it was great battery life is sweet. Big up Damson!

Arrived early , powered the speaker up turned on Bluetooth then oh my god such a sound from such a small speaker the bass is chest thumping and I'm well happy this is definitely kicking out of its league ...well worth the money
