## Description

The Lubro-Moly Super Diesel Additive with cetane plus offers greater engine performance, with less diesel knocking, quieter running and easier starting. Cleans the engine and injection system and prevents the injector needles from seizing. It reduces corrosion and wear, is suitable for low-sulphur diesel fuels and is tested compatible with turbochargers. The Lubro-Moly Super Diesel Additive is suitable for all diesel engines in commercial and passenger vehicles, construction machinery and stationary engines. Outstandingly suitable for preserving engines, even during long periods of non-use under extreme conditions.

Review: Increase in power, smoother, quieter engine, increase throttle response, longer regen intervals - 5-STARS This is a review on Liqui Moly Super Diesel Additive. This is a great product. I am giving this product a 5-star review. I used two, 300mL bottles mixed with 34 gallons of fuel. No check engine lights came on. Vehicle showed no adverse affects from additive. Regen mileage interval with NO additives was 384 miles after receiving vehicle from repair shop and vehicle working properly. This product increased regen frequency (not good) from previous additive (the longest regen interval so take that with a grain of salt) and decreased frequency (good) from baseline, which suggests that it may have cleaned the DPF to some degree or enhances combustion action to burn cleaner. This product had a decrease in miles between regen intervals than previous additive (Liqui Moly Liqui Moly Diesel Particulate Filter Protector which had performed the best so far), and increased mileage from baseline figure. As far as mileage goes, vehicle gained mpg by 0.2mpg on one run and 2.0mpg on another run on uphill route, but remained about the same on downhill route. There seemed to be an increase of power with less throttle input and more responsiveness. Engine seemed to run smoother and quieter than baseline. I did not get any engine error codes while using this product. Liqui Moly Super Diesel Additive seems to burn very clean with less soot buildup. Regen cycle mileage dropped significantly from 30 miles average to 24 miles. Mileage between regens increased from 384 miles (baseline) to 533 miles (+149 mile increase)(good). The product that I used previously was Liqui Moly Diesel Particulate Filter Protector. Liqui Moly Super Diesel Additive decreased interval miles from previous additive(against best additive so far), 625 miles, to 533 miles (-92 miles) Price would add up up as an everyday solution, so not the best choice for everyday use. For everyday use, I would pick Archoil AR6500 at the standard/lower dose for an economical and everyday use. My choices may change as I test more products. When using any DPF cleaner or additive, I would try to incorporate a regen cycle during use and go on longer drives on highway or freeway to increase the EGTs to burn off the soot. I will not use price as a factor. You will have determine if product is worth the cost. These products may or may not save you costly repairs or replacement. I cannot determine if these products can or will damage your vehicle. My vehicle has no check engine light or error codes. My vehicle is in good working order with no current issues during this review. My vehicle has over 200,000 miles. This is a stock vehicle, with a stock (OEM) factory tune installed. Just prior to this test, my truck was not performing a regen cycle. Repairs were done which included a new 9th injector, new DPF pressure monitor. The pressure monitor measures pressure before and after the DPF filter. The difference in pressure allow computer to estimate how much soot has accumulated in the DPF filter. A force regen was also performed on my vehicle and a passive regen performed before I received my vehicle from repair shop. Vehicle is performing as it should. Test drive is relatively the same and consistent. 49.5 miles one way, with a drive time of about 56 minutes. There is a gradual 1129 foot elevation gain one way and 1129 elevation loss the opposite way. There is some surface street driving, some freeway driving, and most of drive is highway. Hope this review helps. I will be writing more reviews on other diesel additives. I have some data from other additives for comparison listed below. Most products seemed to help and a couple seemed to worsened DPF performance during testing. You should not compare the towing data for comparison. I have just added it to show that towing will change data. Towing will increase exhaust gas temperatures and should make the DPF more effective. My regen mileage intervals increased, decreasing regen frequency, while towing. There are many factors that affect the DPF performance. The factors that I noticed (on my vehicle) are outside temperature, humidity, vehicle speed or stop and go traffic(big factor), and EGTs. Lower temperatures decreased DPF performance. Higher humidity decreased DPF performance. Higher outside temperatures and lower humidity seem to increase DPF performance. Higher EGTs such as towing increased DPF performance. Longer driving distance seems helps the DPF filter as optimal temperatures are reached. It seems like soot accumulates faster when the engine and DPF filter are not warm/hot enough, and faster within the first 10-15 miles of travel. If you are only making short trips then the DPF will fill up faster and regens will be more frequent. Review: Part of My Regular Diesel Maintenance - I use Liqui Moly Super Diesel Additive in my 2005 Silverado 2500HD Duramax as part of my regular maintenance routine. The truck is older, modified, and still gets used like a truck, so I try to stay ahead of fuel system care instead of waiting for problems. It is easy to use, the bottle size is convenient, and Liqui Moly has been a brand I have had good luck with. I mainly use it for fuel system support, especially with modern diesel fuel, cold starts, highway miles, towing, and Wyoming weather. I am not going to claim it magically transforms the truck, but it fits well into a good maintenance plan. The engine runs smoothly, starts well, and I like having a quality additive in the tank for added lubricity, cleaning, and overall fuel system support. If you are serious about maintaining an older diesel, this is worth keeping on hand. It is not a substitute for real maintenance, but it is a solid addition to the routine.

**Q: How does this stuff compare to diesel kleen +cetane boost by power service? better or worse?**
A: I think it is better special for the serving, The bottle is perfect seize for VW TDI's and is really safe to transport compared to the other bottles. Plus very clean with the included cap/combo.Regarding benefits to use for better diesel this is my #1, for cleaning injectors the lucas stuff amazed me. And for anti-gel extreme winter the diesel kleen is best.

**Q: Is it normal to see foam in the gas tank after adding this? I poured it in my tank then added fuel. When I removed the nozzle there was lots of foam.**
A: It depends on how full you full your tank.  I always have to deal with foam.  I can't say it is any worse with the Super Diesel Additive.

**Q: How many gallons does it treat per can????**
A: Label says 22 LITERS

**Q: can this be used in a 2000 7.3 powerstroke**
A: I used it in my 1996 7.3 power stroke,no problems.not sure about 2000!!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Working well in 2016 Audi A7 TDI with 135K miles

I noticed a difference within a day of use. I have 135K mi on my Audi A7 TDI. I was getting some hesitation until the engine had been running for quite a while, well beyond the basic water temp gauge indicated it was up to temp. I understand the concept of diesels (I am NOT a mechanic, just a curious engineer) and recognize with their combustion method they really need the heat and it takes a while to get the engine up to temp.....like heat soaking an oven for best results. To me that makes sense wherein eventually the engine heat can overcome some minor fouling. This product seems to quickly take care of that fouling. The engine start/stop function would also be accompanied by some hesitation or shudder.....which has so far been mitigated, too. I am pretty pleased with this additive so far and will continue to use it.
