I also own a pair of Sony 1000MX2 which I bought for around 300 pounds fairly recently, and for the difference in price, these offer cracking value. Why? They feel great and look ultra smart. Not too heavy, but not fragile. They are comfortable and importantly don't fall out of your ears! Pairing is effortless, they pair with the device the instant they are switched on and when you are done, they slot easily back into the charging pod. The charging pod itself is also pretty cool. It's smart twist opening has a feel of quality as it glides open and closed with a reassuring 'lock' sensation when the cover is securely back in place. The use of magnets means that the earphones immediately slot into the charging ports effortlessly. And if you are not a fan of the in your face look of large white airpods, or indeed the price, these offer a much more subtle look for a fraction of the outlay and as far as I can tell, no compromise on sound quality. Now the really good points: 1 - The sound. Rich, deep base, ultra clear treble and an all round excellent range. You can really hear the difference when you tweak the equaliser settings on the device they are paired with - which you don't on inferior earphones. The battery life on these is lasting me for hours. and with the charging pod, you can confidently take these with you when you go out and feel assured you can have sound all day on single mains charge. The white LED on the case when it's charging, and the red and blue lights on the earphones themselves when they are charging just look fab. Very futuristic looking! First of all the design is so elegant and modern, fist in the palm of a hand and the material of the case is sturdy and of good quality. The case is so easy to carry and fits in pockets as well, works perfectly as the charging case and increases the battery durability of the earbuds. The earbuds are very comfortable to wear, come with different covers in different sizes to suit your comfort and the sound quality is crisp, the experience with these is amazing, they actually are noise cancelling and you do not even need to increase the volume that much to hear better, that's how powerful these are. I love how the earbuds look and the design is modern, they are magnetically attracted to the charging case and thus do not move when stored inside. You can do anything while wearing the earbuds and these won't fall, perfect for the gym as well. The battery is very durable, I charge these once a day and they last for the whole day and I do use them a lot, I have been using these without the worry of running out of battery, charging the case allows to have extra battery on hand and thus it is possible to use the buds for even longer. Perfect for using in the gym and although I haven’t been a run with these yet, they definitely don’t feel like they would fall out. EDIT- after using these most days for an hour or so in the gym they have decided to just completely stop working.
