IMPORTANT NOTE - The COVO-S is a passive bookshelf speaker and requires an amplifier or home theater receiver. It cannot be connected directly to a turntable, smartphone, or computer. The COVO-S compact speaker system delivers great sound in a small package. Drawing from the same classic yet distinct design as Micca’s popular MB series speakers, the COVO-S looks great and is easy to place in a wide variety of room decor. Its exceptionally rich sound belies its diminutive size and makes it a great selection for use in small to medium-sized listening areas such as an office. Superior Sound Through Superior Engineering Built using a patented concentric driver design, the COVO-S’s audio performance results from a balanced application of sophisticated drivers, enclosure tuning, and crossover construction. The speaker driver used is a 3-inch wool paper cone woofer with an inset mounted 0.75″ PEI dome tweeter. **Q: Is the price per speaker or for the pair?**
A: it is a pair. 2lbs per speaker. this is important in choosing your mounts

**Q: Will these work OK for a 5.1 surround satellite speakers? Front and rears?**
A: Yes it will work fine. I use them for rears. However i would recommend you to consider the big brother of these the Micca MB-42Xs and its matching center for the front. if you cant afford it my suggestion is that you start with a pair of MB-42Xs in stereo config and build up to 5.1 as you have more money

**Q: Can these be attached to a 3 ft stand similar to the Bose cube speakers?  The pics here don’t show how attachment is possible.**
A: The Micca speaker comes with a 1/4" standard thread in the back. That is what you would use to mount these.
If you can have a 1/4" threaded bolt or stud attached to your 3 foot stand, they will work.

**Q: Can these speakers connect to my Mac air pro lapto?**
A: You could use these with anything that has an audio-out port, such as a headphone jack which I assume the Mac Air has. HOWEVER, these speakers are not self-powered, so you MUST have an amplifier of some kind to power them and be the "in-between" your audio source and these speakers. I pair mine with a cheap Lapai LP-2020A+ and they sound fine - not amazing, but good. If space is not a huge consideration for you consider getting the Lapai LP-2020A+ amp ($27) and Micca MB42s as these sound much better ($48, only $8 more than the Covo-s). You'll also need a audio jack to connect from the Laptop to the Lapai amp, and speaker wire from the amp to the speakers. Hope that helps.
