Spear & Jackson - 32cm Corded Rotary Lawnmower - 1200W

Is lightweight and cuts very well. Nice to have many cutting heights.Easy to adjust.Grass box seems a little flimsy but time will tell.

Assembled easily enough. Cheap plastic mouldings. It wasn’t until I’d put it together that I realised how small it is, the handle is only just above my knees and I’m 5’10”, not exactly a giant. Not very good for your back. Also, the 12m cable is only useful for a postage stamp sized garden, you will definitely need an extension cable. If I hadn’t missed the Return window, I’d certainly be sending it back.

Thank you to seller for prompt service. I am delighted with this product as it fits a very small storage space as the handles are separate to the body. The price also reflects good value for money. I am reluctant to go down the rechargable battery route as they don't last forever so am also pleased that this is a mains feed. It is also the right size for my small garden so all in all it ticks all the boxes for me hence the rating.

Product great for the price. Except I need a new handle attachment as the one that came with mine was already rusty and broken.

Opened box to find out this is not a new item it is a used item as all the marks on it show it has been used

I previously owned a McGregor lawnmower but when it came to replace it that model was not available so I thought this Spear & jackson model would be a good replacement. It's very similar to the McGregor model (probably made in the same Chinese factory with different decals?) but was €15.00 more expensive but hey, S & J are a premier brand aren't they, so why not!?To be fair it cuts the lawn perfectly well but that's it's only good point. The assembly instructions are poor and it was a nightmare to put together. I needed to use all my strength to insert the lower handles far enough into the hole so they could be screwed together. The grass bag didn't initially want to fit into the mower and required numerous (unnecessary) adjustments and it still jumps out of it's assembly given the slightest opportunity. It supposedly has this little flap that tells you when the grass bag is full but that's useless and doesn't work 90% of the time.So in conclusion it mows the lawn adequately (hence 3 stars) but I'd never buy Spear & Jackson again if this is the standard of their machines? I also tried to phone their "customer support" whilst in the middle of trying to assemble the machine but it was continually engaged....no surprise I suppose!

Very easy to change the height of the cut, especially when you have bad hands. Very light weight and easy to manoeuvre

The lawnmower was advertised as used good condition.it was muddy, the grass catcher was torn, the foam around the handle was torn and perished.wouldnt have bought it at a boot . the good thing was a no probs refund
