The trick with textured walls is to stick the wall side first, making sure to push down into all the grooves for a good stick, Then unpeel the other side. I didn't do this before and everything I hung would all come down within hours sometimes days, but not anymore with this technique! **Q: Will it support a full length no frame mirror? Or maybe ok if I use a double set - 8 strips?** A: I've had a HEAVY full length mirror on the back of my closet door for 5 years now. It does have 2 light hooks that go over the top of the door to hold most of the weight but everytime I opened the door it would swing away from the door so I put 6 sets of large command strips to attach it to the door....problem solved! I put 1 set in each corner and then 1 in the middle on each side. After I was done and it was all held in place I stepped back and I realized it was somehow raised up so the hooks were NOT holding the weight! Lol they were doing nothing and the mirror held strongly in place!! Haha😊 If It hadn't stopped me from closing my closet door I could have left it lol but I'd use atleast 6 sets if the mirror is heavier than your typical cheap full length mirror. Mine is atleast 5-8lbs. Would recommend . ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ If hanging something heavy and important press home periodically *by A***T on 14 April 2026* Used 6 pairs of Large strips to hang a framed painting of about 1mx1m weighing around 5kg on a wall in a tight space. It certainly looked better flat to the wall and fitting more neatly in the space than had been possible by hanging it in the traditional way. So far all good. The wall was/is painted plaster which is not one of the "don't use it on" surfaces. But, after about 18 months in place, long enough that we had grown confident in them, well, today it fell off the wall. The failure was not the velcro style fastenings but the adhesive from the backing strips which just gave way. They came off cleanly. Luckily the canvas was not damaged although the frame was, a little. I shall be putting it back up, but, this time I will be tying the traditional hanging wire at the back to the strong screw that it used to hang from in order to break its fall should this happen again. I'll also diarise to occasionally (annually) press the picture back onto the wall to try to maintain the adhesive join.
