Took them right out of the box and put them to work. 4 hours later --- I trimmed my lilacs, brush, and trimmed a whole big bed of roses, oh yeah, small black berry bushes. Normally I am worn out after one lilac bush. I suffer from numerous shoulder and back injuries. My hands are pathetically weak, especially my left hand. My hands will usually cramp up or are too weak. These pruners cut ✂ like butter. They are the best ones I have ever bought. Read the directions, I think it reccomends wiping blade with oil on a cloth. The cutting blade is solid. Handles are comfortable.UPDATE: I did buy 2 more.
