The alarms are sturdily made and compact, the alarm is loud, there were no "duds" in the two 6-packs I ordered, and they are plainly labeled with a battery expiration date/ replacement date 3 years in the future. My previous 12 Flood Buzz alarms lasted almost a year past their stated expiration date in 2024 (not that I'm advocating pushing your luck like I did, but I tested them regularly). One of the alarms recently alerted me to a leak under my water heater, averting a big mess, and making these well worth the cost. These are not the type of leak alarms that are smart-home-connected, so if you aren't in the house to hear the piercing alarm, they won't work for you. But I am home most of the time, and so they work for me.
