Great Drill, great price, great deal.
I have been using this drill for many months and am delighted with it, the battery, and the charger. There is plenty of wrist twisting torque and the battery lasts much longer than my old Panasonic. I bought a second battery and the bare-bones "sawzall" to go with it, getting them both separately, which was much less expensive than any "combo" kits. These new Li-Ion tools are considerably lighter, smaller and BETTER than the old NiMH tools that they replace, AND they are less expensive. Go figure!Because the Li-Ion batteries are quite light in weight, I opted to go for the high capacity batteries instead of the "Lite" versions. They are only slightly larger and a couple of ounces heavier. The smart "Fuel . . Brushless" circuitry in the drill senses the extra current capacity of the battery and really pours on the torque. The SAME drill, sporting the smaller battery, has appreciably less torque - check the spec's. So, same voltage, smaller and lighter battery pack equals smaller cells. Probably AAA's instead of AA's - or the equivalent. I also appreciate the "fuel gauge" on the batteries. This feature lets me see how much power I have stored and keeps me from unnecessarily topping up my batteries before starting a project. Its also fun to see how much "juice" I have used.Yeah, I looked at a lot of the available drills, went into stores and tried them out, and finally settled on this particular Milwaukee drill. I don't need an impact driver and this drill is much lighter and shorter anyway. I shopped around for a good price with a good case and this what was right for me.

wise decesion
best power drill I got in a long time. strong sturdy pretty light considering the power behind it and it comes in a case that holds the drill gun with its battery attached the extra handle for drilling, and a spare battery with the charging dock. my favorite feature though gots to be the lock capability the case has because lets face it when you have such a nice tool you don't want just anyone being able to use it. I calculate that this thing would start paying for its self after the 18th use and it should last as long as you take care of it. the drilling ability is strong but when you switch it to screwing you can also change how much force itl take until the safety comes on preventing you from stripping the metal off the screw's head or even the drill bit head. also i recommend getting yourself a nice set or drill bits and screw heads I mean if you are willing to buy the best battery screw gun might as well spend that extra dollar for in the long run itll be worth it.

No warranty!
I've owned this for a little over two years now, and one of the batteries went bad. I called Milwaukee about it, and was told that they don't sell tools on Amazon. So they won't warranty the battery. Even though it has a 3 year warranty. So if you want a warranty, buy another brand.

but it would have been nice if this kit included a bit holder as did ...
I bought the previous brushless model. the quality of build and power was as expected. As it should be for a drill-driver in this price range. Unfortunately, the batteries "died" before I expected. I will not be able to comment on the performance of the 4.0 amp hour batteries for hopefully a long time.It is a small thing, but it would have been nice if this kit included a bit holder as did the previous model. I am sure that Milwaukee save a lot of $ by not including these. The exterior of the chuck feels a little flimsier than the earlier model. It may not be so...just an early observation.

Excellent drill/driver
This drill arrived just in time for some major cable pulling. At one point I had 4" of composite wood truss to drill through and this bad boy put a 3/4" bit through it easily with no fuss. Battery life with the 4AH modules has been excellent and I believe that the balance is better with the larger battery. In fact the balance is excellent and less fatiguing than lighter drills I've had.The whole unit just exudes quality. I really like the separate clutch dials for drill and for driver function. I do a fair amount of work and I just don't like having to mess around with tools that don't quite do the job--the Milwaukee Fuel driver is a tool I don't have to worry about. It just does its job.

Not Good
The drill died after only 2 days of light use. After years of using Makita this was not a good look at another brand, I won't be buying more of the Milwaukee.

Magic hammer drill
OUTSTANDING hammer drill! Both powerful and light-weight. Milwaukee engineers have used the magic of Lithium batteries and a brushless motor to produce a hammer drill with 3 qualities I never thought could be combined at the same time: high torque, light weight, and long run time (much longer than my previous 2 lithium battery hammer drills - a Ryobi and a Bosch). It is so light that I can use this one-handed or overhead for much longer without hand or arm fatigue. Another great feature over my last 2 drills - releasing the trigger keeps the LEDs on for a few seconds allowing you to re-position the bit with some light on the target without having to spin the bit very slowly. In the last 2 months of use I have not found a single thing wrong or anything I would want to change about this drill. A word of caution: Be sure to use the side handle if drilling into mortar joints or other materials where the drill bit might bind up - otherwise you may get skinned knuckles from the high torque suddenly spinning the drill rather than the bit.
