Buzz! Quiz World Bundle - Playstation 3

I've had this game for a few weeks now. It is a great and fun trivia game. It seems to get better with the more people you have. The single player game is merely adequate. If you are looking to play this game as just a single player game, then I would probably pass. But the game truly excels once you get multiple players. We had a group of 7 players last night and everyone loved it. The best part is that the game is self-explanatory (as are the use of the simple-to-use buzzers) so there is no learning curve. First-time players can pick it up immediately. The announcer, Buzz, even added to the fun by cracking some jokes at the expense of players and will call out individual players by their real names. The announcer also makes good use of tracking the stats of each player and using that information in his comments.The questions are good and provide a good diversity of easy to hard questions. The use of videos and pictures in many of the questions adds tremendously to the game and breaks-up some of the monotony of a standard trivia game. The different rounds also helps keep the game fresh. It's a much better trivia game then the type you have in bars and restaurants. The question packs that can be separately purchased also helps in adding to the longevity of the game with the downside being the packs are a little on the expensive side.My only complaint is that for games involving 5-8 players, the types of available rounds are more limited. It would have been nice to have some more types of rounds or even rounds that can be exclusively used for 5-8 players. Admittedly, a minor quibble, but hopefully will be addressed in the next version of the game.I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this game to anyone looking for a fun and easy party game.

Not sure why they left the batteries after refurbishing, but they had bursted when I received, and since the buzzers didn’t work, I’m assuming that it was caused by the batteries. Really disappointing.

The game itself is wonderful my only issue the buzzers that come with the game they are not easy to set up

I just receive the game and buzzers today everything is fine except one of the buzzers dosent work my kids were alittle sad

We bought the original version of Buzz trivia when it first came out, and had a great time with it. Whenever we had friends over, we would whip out the game and everyone would have a blast. It makes for a fun party game. In fact, two people I know bought PS3's just so that they could play this game.When I discovered a new version called Buzz World would be coming out, I knew I was going to buy it. I've played it for a few months now, and I honestly have to say I expected more from this new version. It is still a lot of fun to play, but the developer fumbled the chance to turn it into a near-perfect game.First, the changes I like:- The categories are much more specific. In the first version, the categories were broad items such as "Blockbusters" and "Food and Drink". But now, you get categories such as "James Bond". Often times, you have absolutely no idea what the category is about when you choose it. Others may find this annoying, but I like the mystery it adds to the game.- The game offers preset names. If everyone you know has common names, you will love this feature. The Buzz host will speak your name during the game, and will even talk trash to you if you're losing.- You can create profiles. Whenever you play, you choose your profile (you can change the character and sound each time also) and the game remembers your past performances. For example, if you've won a lot of games in the past, the host will comment on your winning ways during the introductions. Pretty cool!- Customized rounds. If you want to remove Final Countdown, for example, you can. Even timed games are options- there is a 15 min option and a 45 min option.- New rounds that aren't in the first version. I like the Boiling Point round, where the first player to get 6 questions correct wins the round. There is another one where you get tossed off a plank if you get a few questions wrong.But there are also negatives:- Since the host now says your name, you can only select from a list of predetermined names. So if you have a foreign or uncommon name, you can't use it in the game.- The game slowly recaps the current standings after every single round. This is annoying when there are a bunch of people playing.- They got rid of some of the characters from the first version. They should have just added new characters, without removing any of the original ones. Or at least provided the option to create your own custom character, like in a lot of Nintendo Wii games.- If you have 5 players or more, there are certain types of rounds the game will not make available to you. This is unfortunate, as the game is the most fun when there are 5-8 players.Overall though, this is a very fun game. Hopefully the developer will make the next version even better.

I bought this game for my family game night, and it's a winner! It's a little expensive but very enjoyable for the whole family. I would say ages 12+ should be fine but there are categories that involve things in the 80's and older and my parents whoop my butt on those but then there is also modern stuff, for example things featuring lady gaga. So this game is up to date no doubt, and for it to include oldies stuff it's a very fair game for everyone. I havent played the game a ton, I would say less than 10 hours but I havent seen a single repeat questoin yet. I believe it's up to 8 players and you can even do single player trivia if you're alone. Over all I would say this is a great family or friend get together game.

Came with corroded batteries and only half controllers worked.

Only 3 of the 4 buzzers work, the game is a blast. It's disappointing that not all 4 buzzers work

good game to play with guest. They will always ask about it later. If your liver can handle it you can even make it into a drinking game, but drink reasonably ;).

Great condition

Way too much $, found much cheaper and did not come in original package, plus the buzzers are not cordless!! Plus if you return you have to pay a “restocking” fee!!!!
