You can wire this in series with the on/off switch of the compressor and it will work. That is exactly the purpose of the switch. The on/off switch is connected to a control board which is low power. I saved a boat load over using an oe replacement and this little guy even had Teflon tape included in the box. The pressure switch cuts off at about 152 psi and restarts at around 125 but that's perfectly fine by me. 9.5 out of 10! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good replacement *by R***4 on April 20, 2025* good replacement for my train horn set up. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked Well, Used on Smittybilt Compressor *by L***L on April 29, 2021* I modified my Smittybilt compressor so it shuts off when not being used. Was a great add and really assisted in functionality. The only downfall is the supplied soft case no longer works. So Im shopping for a new option.
