I don’t blame the product, when a toddler is out to open a door you need more than tape to stop them. These were a great alternative to the magnets. We use the surviving magnets but we needed locks for the other cabinets. These are like zip ties without the safety fail safe of trying again. This is the only real negative. The other issue is more of a style preference, the are opaque plastic - like zip ties. However, instead of drilling holes into my cabinets I appreciate how these work. You press the button in the middle and the cabinet opens up. Today my toddler tested them out again and after 2 yanks he felt no give and just walked away. Normally, when he feels a little give he has found his new project... pulling until the door is free. I stay on top of him so this doesn’t happen but the magnets way on 2 sets of cabinets. 1 partly to not adhearing it well during installation and the second it was my toddlers brute force - regardless of me trying to protect the cabinet magnets. These plastic zip tie locks keep the cabinet doors in plac thus he has no interest. Once you get used to how they work installation is simple but we accidentally over tightened and wasted a set.
