## Description

Product Description Whether you're a light sleeper seeking quiet relief or a fitness enthusiast looking for steady airflow during hot home workouts, this bladeless tower fan delivers refreshing comfort. 60-degree oscillation keeps cool air within reach, providing consistent airflow without the long gaps common with wider oscillation ranges. Customize your comfort with the included remote control, featuring on/off, speed, oscillation, timer, and nighttime settings. Three fan speeds let you choose from a gentle breeze to more powerful airflow, while the 7.5-hour timer adds convenient, scheduled cooling. For quieter nights, a nighttime mode automatically reduces fan speed and dims the LED controls to help minimize distractions while you sleep. Blue Plug Safety technology cuts off the electric current if a fault is detected for extra peace of mind. Lightweight and equipped with a built-in carry handle, it's easy to move wherever cold air is needed most. Simple base assembly required. Remote control requires 2 AAA batteries (not included). Designed and engineered in the USA, this indoor Lasko fan reflects over 115 years of dedication to crafting safe, reliable, ETL-listed fans. Brand Story By Lasko

Review: Pretty good, but funky and with a broken button - First, the good. I probably would buy it again if it breaks in, say, five years (ETA: I did, even though it did not break). Quieter than the old-fashioned fan I used to have, puts out about as much air, and the remote is really handy. But it has flaws. It puts out a low level slightly electrical smell. Maybe that will go away in time. I don't really get used to it either. (ETA: it did go away. The second one had the same smell, for a while, but not the first, so it wasn't me getting used to it) The power button on the fan itself is broken. Loose, wobbly, feels like it would fall off if I turned it upside down. All the other buttons work, and I've got the remote. Worst case I'd just have to use the wall plug, so it's no biggie. Weird controls. There's a timer shut off function, from ½ an hour to 7½ hours, and it shows with four lights for ½, 1, 2, 4 hours which you have to add up to read the timer. If you want three hours, that's six taps. Set it to the longest time, 7½ hours, that's 15 taps and all four light up. The lights count down the time remaining. The night time function is odd. Starts out at max speed, gradually decreases, eventually shuts off. I guess if you don't want that, but just want it to shut off after you've gone to sleep, you use the regular shut off timer. The remote's buttons are off-center. Better for right-handers, worse for left-handers. Impossible to read in the dark. The lights on the fan are just dots, so watching what the lights do, like changing the shut off timer, doesn't help much. Adding some shape to them would help. ETA: I lost the remote and could no longer turn it on. So I bought a second one. The new remote works with both. It's a small nuisance, but I'd been thinking of a second fan anyway to cool the western facing bedroom. (ETA: I found the remote.) ETA: The more I use it, the handier it is. It has hand grips near the top and is easy to pick up even while oscillating and adjust its aim or location while remaining plugged it. I'm revising it to five stars primarily because its defects don't matter as much for my usage; all I use is on/off, speed, and oscillation.
Review: Still Cooling Strong After 7 Years! - We bought this Lasko Oscillating Tower Fan back in 2018, and let me tell you, it’s been an absolute champ! Seven years of near-daily use, and it’s still running like the day we unboxed it—talk about durability! Living in a smallish house in the MidWest, this fan has been our lifeline through countless hot summers, and it’s never let us down. Right out of the box, the setup was a breeze—took less than 10 minutes to snap the base together with a few screws, and it’s been rock-solid ever since. The sleek silver design fits perfectly in our small living room, taking up minimal space while blending seamlessly with our decor. At 42 inches tall, it’s just the right height to circulate air across the room, whether we’re lounging on the couch or working at the desk. The three speed settings are spot-on. On high, it pumps out a powerful breeze that cools our 400-square-foot space in minutes, even during brutal heatwaves. The medium setting is great for milder days, and the low setting provides a gentle, whisper-quiet airflow that’s perfect for sleeping. Speaking of quiet, this fan is a dream for light sleepers like me. Even on the highest setting, it produces a soft hum that doubles as soothing white noise, never disruptive. We lost the remote control early on, but it's not a big deal for us. We often move the fan from room to room and store it in the garage in the winters. While I wish it swiveled a bit wider (maybe closer to 90 degrees), it’s never been a dealbreaker. What really impresses me is how well this fan has held up. After seven years, there’s no creaking, wobbling, or annoying rattles, even with constant oscillation. The plastic build feels sturdy, and despite a few accidental bumps from a toddler, it’s still in great shape with no cracks or wear. We’ve never noticed a spike in our electric bill either, so it’s energy-efficient too. For the price, this fan is an incredible value. It’s reliable, stylish, and packed with features that make it a must-have for anyone needing to beat the heat. Whether you’re in a small apartment or a larger room, this Lasko tower fan delivers. I’m already planning to buy another for our bedroom—it’s that good!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does it cool the air when circulating?**
A: The fan cools only as much as a fan would cool the air. It is not an air conditioner. But this fan is taller than most, so it does a much better job of cooling a room, in my opinion. And it absolutely is not noisy, as some reviews stated; also, the blue light doesn't 'light up the whole house' as others have said. We absolutely love this fan. Hopefully you will too.

**Q: What kind of screws dows this need to properly attach the base? My unjt arrived without hardware :(**
A: I didn't know it needed screws. The base snaps together, then I twist locked the unit onto the base. Can't imagine why screws are needed unless this question is somehow not for my particular fan, or this model has changed since 2015 (T42951)

**Q: does ionizer really work for smoke?**
A: Don't know for smoke, but it helps when the dog has gas!

**Q: do you have to buy filters for the air purifier?**
A: Use compressed air to clean the fan out. Do it outside though, it’ll be dust city

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I decided to buy this to help keep me cool. It's overall been a great product that I've ...
*by L***S on July 23, 2016*

My apartment sadly doesn't have cooling and with the hot summer going on, I decided to buy this to help keep me cool. It's overall been a great product that I've been using daily with no issues so far. I actually found a surprising amount of convenience with the remote it comes with. I use the remote for when I have guests and have to place the fan in a more centralized location to cool everyone down. You can control every feature on the fan with this remote, so it's been surprisingly handy for times when my fan is across the room from my desk and I want to turn it on, change fan speed, oscillate, and etc. The three fan speeds are adequate. My apartment has a 500 square foot main room and I can feel a nice wind from the fan on setting 3 when seated in the opposite corner of the room. Setting 2 can still push air across the room, I only use it for the miraculous days that don't break 85+ degrees. And setting 1 is perfect for having the fan near you and is the speed I usually always have it set to. I have no idea if the Ionizer really does anything. I don't have pets, don't smoke, and I don't live in a busy city so I haven't noticed any difference in the quality of air. But I leave it on all the time when the fan is running anyway because I actually like the little blue light that comes on haha. It also has timer settings from 0.5hr to 7.5hrs, in half hour increments, but I keep the fan running at all times when I'm home so I never used this feature. Cycling through the timers is kind of annoying because there are 15 possible combinations when setting the timer which you cycle through by pressing one button. So if you miss the time you want or accidentally turn the timer on when you didn't mean to, you have to cycle through every combination until you get back to the one you wanted. Kind of annoying, but I don't use the timer so it doesn't bother me personally. Overall build quality of the fan is decent. It's all plastic and does require a little bit of construction out of the box. The only construction is just a few screws which secure the base to the fan - super easy. The plastic and construction does feel a bit on the cheaper side. Even with the screws tightened down, the tower does still have some wobble if I bump into the fan or am operating the buttons on the fan itself. But it does not wobble, creak, or anything when oscillating so again, I don't mind. The only time I even touch the fan is when I'm relocating it for guests. Lastly, like I said earlier, I leave this fan on constantly when I'm home - in setting 1 when I'm alone and setting 3 when guests are over. Despite this, its "power consumption footprint" is so small that I do not notice it when paying my power bill. Of course, it is just a fan so I wouldn't expect it to raise my power bill more than a couple of dollars, but whatever the added running cost is - it is so small that I consider it negligible. Also fan noise isn't bad at all. When I'm alone, setting 1 provides a good amount of white noise in the background. Music, videos, or any other sound I make isn't overwhelmed by this fan running less than 3 feet away from me. When I have company, a normal conversation is enough to drown out the noise this fan makes even on setting 3. Overall, I'm really enjoying this fan and it's helped keep me cool on these hot summer days.
