Casio fx-300ES PLUS Scientific Calculator, Black

I love this calculator been having it for years now . It’s not all fancy but it definitely gets the job done .

Help me in my pre cal and college maths classes and exam... recommend

Bought 24 of these calculators on amazon for my high school math class. Best decision ever. I love that they are so user friendly. You can see what you are typing, fractions are easily input, concerts from fractions to decimals easily, simplify a radicals, exponents are easily and intuitively input. I’ve used other calculators before and it was such a struggle trying to teach kids how to use and input the darn things. This one is so self explanatory the kids knew what to do easily. Now I can focus on teaching the math , not the calculators functions. Saves me time and money. Best decision ever.

I love this calculator because it has just the neccessary functions for all math courses, without the complexity of multi teir menus or excessive button levels. It's not a graphing calculator, but you can do that far better -and easier- with apps: I don't understand schools that require them on a calculator(so behind the technology). I hate calculators so overloaded with functions stuffed into multiple levels of buttons or menus thst tbey become too complex and slow to use. The Casio fx 300 series of calculators have destilled the most important -most useful- functions into the simplest to use calculator. I've used expensive HP and TI calculators, but my $6 fx 300mx is far faster and easier to use. The $14 fx 300es plus is now my current fav, because it can do logarithms for any base, and has optional (you can choose to use it or not) text book math expression entering capability; perfect for complex expressions.

Orange ON button doesn't work but the upper right purple ON button turns it on. The orange OFF button does work, though. The small round type of battery is more of a hassle than older models where 2A batteries were used and would last longer. Display is not as clear and bright as the older one I have. Bought this specifically for the purpose of 2 line display and nothing else, which it does the job very fine, and the price of $8 beats the $20 at Walgreens.

I got this when I went back to school for my science (and possibly math) classes. I wanted something relatively cheap that was able to show me what I typed in and what the answer was. I picked this one because of the feature it has to easily be able to switch between fractions, decimals, and mixed numbers. It was a bonus that it was a bright pink so it would stand out and look unique over the black or navy blue versions that I could find in the store.

This is BY FAR the best scientific calculator. Take every feature of the TI-84 except for the visual graphs and polynomial solver and smash all of it into a calculator the size of a normal scientific calculator, move a couple buttons around, and you get this thing. It makes tables based on inputted functions, performs stats, automatically factors out pi, and it does about a million other things I haven't even figured out yet. The tables feature is really nice, since you can basically use this thing as a graphing calculator.The button layout is a bit funky if you're used to TI calculators, but I got used to it quickly, and actually find this layout much more intuitive than the TI setup. I can do things on this calculator twice as fast as I could on my TI-30XIIS or my TI-84. This is my second fx-300ES now, after losing one that I had for years. Never had to replace the battery, the buttons held up well, and it survived many falls.

This is a perfect calculator for those who need a simple, yet somewhat technically-able calculator. I'm not doing anything that requires the use of a high-quality, costly graphing calculator. I'm not an engineering student or anything, but I am a pre-med student, and have a large amount of science classes; chemistry, physics etc. so I bought this. It does everything I need it to, and its easy to use.So I'm not the most calc-savvy guy around, so I'll simply say that I appreciated how easy it was to return to previous calculations, and manipulate the values so I didn't have to re-type the entire equation (a common requirement in chemistry) - this was something that I had difficulty with using a TI-84, because moving the cursor and then attempting to place a new figure would replace whatever figure/sign you had previously placed, which would then require you to re-type the entire thing. The cursor on this places whatever you want between any existing signs/figures without the need to retype the entire thing.

Ya había tenido antes un modelo similar (fx 991 es plus) que perdí en estos años. Es grato notar que esta calculadora es más liviana y no requiere baterías AAA para su funcionamiento. Es bueno ver que Casio no ha bajado su calidad en productos. Además, el precio es insuperable

I'm using it for my master of engineering program and I must say there is no better option! So comfortable as it has all the necessary functions and above all, there stands the great display which shows everything as appears on the paper, so you won't have to struggle with entering several symbols for a simple line of math calculation. About the design, I love the blue model as it looks sharper and keys are so comfortable and durable to work with. It is very thin and the cover protects the screen when it is in my crowded backpack!

buying the pink one was cheaper than any other colour but as it was for a girl it did not matter purchased for GCSE maths so it did what it said on the tin covered all aspects of maths
