Review: Works great at eliminating odors - I originally bought this after some water got spilled in our basement and started smelling musty. It cleared that up. I then used it in a closet that had had a previous water leak and smelled almost like cat pee. This little thing cleared up the moisture and the odor! If you're sensitive to smells you might want to be careful as it is pretty strong lavender scented. It didn't bother me, but it might bother some people. Otherwise it's an excellent product!
Review: Really works - Was expecting this to be a disappointment. Pleasantly surprised. My condo has the closet in the bathroom, so I worry about humidity. This unit also had a smoker in it, and I've been battling that. My clothes were smelling funky despite several coats of Killz in the closet. Once I got this, that problem went away. I'm not saying this is magic for a smoke smell, but rather the humidity was probably exacerbating the problem and this stopped it. Also, kind of fun to watch. I keep another one in the bathroom part of the room (it's a really weird set up - toilet and shower in one half, vanity and closet in the other half) because, well, I can't STAND the sound of the fan. Works great - it's humid for a few minutes after the shower but not after.

**Q: can I use in my car**
A: Put the whole thing into another container. I'd use glass, calcium chloride is like salt but much more powerful. It would probably eat through metal. Use a glass or Pyrex mixing bowl or something.

**Q: Is this good for a 32 foot fifth wheel camper?**
A: I am not an engineer in these matters but I would suggest that you start by putting one canister in a location that you suspect is humid and see how quickly it fills with water.  There are many variables such as:  Is the area an enclosed closet, bathroom etc.  Is the canister located in the middle of the room etc. etc.  My best suggestion is that you start with one canister located where you suspect or smell musty odors and add more canisters in other locations.  I swear by this product from experience and practice.  Hope it helps.

**Q: This is open on top so it can spill.  Would it hurt its effectiveness to put a pape towel under the lid to prevent spilling?**
A: Do not place anything to impede the surrounding air from coming in contact with the Damp Rid material. If you are worried about the bucket tipping over, place it in a bucket or some other item to catch any spills.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ DampRid moisture abosorber

Excellent product to remove moisture from many areas with limited air circulation. In my case, I used them under beds (if it fits) because moisture tends to build under the mattress foundation for lack of air circulation. It keeps the underside dry and smelling fresh. This bucket is perfect for such locations where hanging a dehumidifier cannot go. As an added precaution, I place the container in a plastic shoe box (sans the cover) in case the container is knocked down. This avoids water from spilling onto the floor. For closets where one can hang the product, I recommend that you buy the one designed for hanging as they are much easier to use and disposed of.
