A perfect equalizer
I have been a fan of Behringer products ever since we started using them for church sound a couple of years ago. They are high quality at a reasonable price. This equalizer is no exception. We recently installed this equalizer to help flatten the church sanctuary in order to help reduce feedback and help with other sound quality issues. It works great! I really appreciated the pink noise generator feature of this specific model along with the FBQ feature which identifies specific frequencies where feedback is occurring. This made ringing out and flattening the room a sinch compared to some previous experiences with equalization. When the church gets enough money, I look forward to being able to use the sub-woofer output on this unit. Once again, Behringer has outdone itself.

Sounds great and helps keep you from blowing up your speakers!
Works perfectly. The FBQ display not only looks impressive to non-audio people during a concert, it's extremely useful for quickly isolating and killing feedback during speaking events. The 31-band EQ allows you to tweak your system to match the room in almost any case, allowing you to control resonant frequencies and fill in where the room absorbs. The limiters are great to keep you from overdriving your amps and speakers - especially when the DJ starts pumping up his pre-outs without telling you.The crossover works well, and sends a solid signal to the subs,

How I spent my spring break
I received the EQ when it was promised and that was good. However, The UPS driver never bothered to knock on my front door or even honk to let me know my package was waiting outside (shipped priority not standard so you would think they would need a signature). Then the item was left behind my leaky trash can and that was not so good. There was also no additional packaging (i.e. the unit was shipped in the display box which had some punctures from handling). Fortunately the box didn't get wet and the unit was undamaged. But still, shame on you Amazon you leave a lot to be desired in your shipping policies. So I unboxed and installed the unit in my rack and started playing with it. It works as expected. I like the feedback detection circuitry and the pink noise generator features. The independent Sub output is also a nice feature. All in all I like the unit so far but we will see how it holds out in the long haul.

Excellent equalizer
I bought this EQ to control my JBL desktop monitors and Sub. I don't record or mix music (at this location), this Application is only for audio playback from my iMac. I chose this EQ because it as a dedicated output for a Sub and I could also utilize XLR connections to my active monitors. The sound is incredible, it is exactly what I needed to fine-tune my system. I would highly recommend this product. I was nervous that the EQ would cause signal gain noise. Nothing to worry about with this product, as long as you use quality cables, and adjust it correctly.

SAVE YOUR MONEY OR TAKE A CHANCE
SEPTEMBER 2011. Over the past three years I have purchased two of this equalizers. Both have developed the identical problem: Noise in the left channel. At first, it's a low level hiss and crackling sound. Soon a popping sound appears. Program material will mask the noise up to this point. The popping eventually becomes very intense, dominating the program material and occasionally pegging the VU meters. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ANY PRICE! Please note: This is a manufacturing defect and NOT the fault of Amazon.*****UPDATED APRIL 2013. Three months after I wrote my original review, my FBQ-6200 suddenly quieted down. As of today's date, it has not given any trouble. Will the problem eventually return? Who knows? I'll upgrade my original recommendation to "Buyer beware". As far as features and sound quality are concerned, I'll give it five stars. The FBQ-6200 is one of the most feature-laden equalizers you will find. When you consider the very affordable price, it truly is a "best buy".....just remember....."Buyer beware".

A truly GREAT component at a fantastic price!
I had this exact model Behringer FBQ6200 previously (was sold with my old PA system) and I just put together a new EV system and bought another one to use this unit for the front of house PA main EQ. You can't beat it for the features it has. The last one I had was in an ATA case with some other components and it took a beating and NEVER let me down. I can't figure out the "problems" that others say have occurred. Perhaps they don't know how to correctly hook up and operate the unit and/or they may just toss it around without any protective case. Anyway I would definitely recommend this EQ.

Nice but defective
This is for the FBQ3201 unit. I just brought this unit home and found it to be defective out of the box. If I were to put a reasonably hot signal into channel 1, after a few seconds it the signal will shut off. What is very strange is that if I touch the case body, the signal immediately returns. Does not do this with same signal on channel 2. I cross checked cables and what not. Have to return unit. I will try one more time
