Off grid charging? Go with Victron.
This is a great piece of kit for your off grid battery charging. I'm a caravanner and have roof mounted solar panel, after spending a fortune on caravan I went for the better mppt regulator rather than the pwm regulator. This model has worked flawlessly for several years and I would recommend anyone who is thinking of buying a regulator to go for the Victron brand. My set up is a 100 watt solar panel which is flat mounted on the roof and generates less than 10 amps even when the sun is directly overhead making this the ideal choice, the caravan is on the drive and is powered by the solar panel throughout the winter, this is where the mppt regulator scores above the others. Word of warning don't be fooled by a number of cheap regulators which claim to be mppt but they are pwm. Top marks to Victron.
