Perfect!
Works great - exactly as advertised. I needed this for an extended stay in a national radio quiet zone, so it got lots of use and never let me down! Charges perfectly as well, though it charges much slower than plugging your phone up directly.

Belkin Ethernet +Pwr Adapter W/ Lightning Connector (MFI Cert)
I just purchased this item, and in a word it is "marvelous"...it delivers what is promised...install could not be easier...and my iPhone is charged while doing all of this...also purchased in con junction w/Anker PD charger 60watt, lightning extender cable (as cable is quite short, as seen in product photo)...had Belkin App installed prior to device install...so when this device was plugged into my iPhone 13 Pro Max, Belkin App insured firmware was up-to-date without input from me...everything "just worked"...5G signal is quite weak at my home, (1) bar...this would only provide 1.5mbs data, good only for e-mail & text...with this Belkin device installed, ethernet provides 60+mbs via Xfinity Speed Test...more then sufficient for high rez movies etc.,.although my pc can achieve 700+mbs, through same connection, this is neither here no there, as speed now provided to iPhone is grossly more then sufficient, for anything I could want to do on my iPhone...as if the above wasn't a sufficient enough success...while I was "at it"...i got the idea of, "why not see if my iPhone could find my ethernet, networked HP Officejet Pro printer, on my home network"...it did...!loaded HP Print Smart App for iPhone...found & configured printer...and as if that was not enough, i can now scan, copy, print (photos also), FAX...all from my phone...whoa...!additionally, all printer settings (that I can discern) to include PW & PIN, network settings, are accessible from iPhone...double-whoa...!OK caveat-time, with all the above being said...if you have been shopping for a device like this, you have probably noticed the price disparity between this and other similar devices, to include Belkin's very own ethernet + power to "C" USB adapter...my best consumer/user advice is:"embrace the pain, & buy it"...now at first, this "wrankled me beyond belief..."in my estimation, the reasons for the price differential, are as follows:(1) Pwr Over Ethernet capability (2) Belkin App for firmware update capability (3) Quality/Reliability...this includes, comparing the above item, to Belkin's own, Ethernet & Pwr to "C" USB Adapter...(this item does not have POE, Pwr Over Ethernet...which I personally, could not care less about)...the one item this adapter does not have:ethernet indicator LEDs...i do find these quite useful...however, I will endeavor to do w/o...So...does this item, cost Top Dollar (read, expensive)?... yes, it is...!does this item perform as advertised, & then some?...yes, indeed it does...!is this item easy to install?...yes, it is...do I, jo'c, personally recommend this item?...yes I do...!and that is the name of that tune!...jo'c

Works with iPad Air 2, using Lightning extension cable
I'm using a (non-Apple) Lightning extension cable with the Belkin Ethernet adapter (black cable in pictures), and it passes through both data & power. I have an official Apple 12W power adapter plugged into the Belkin adapter itself.Using AT&T Fiber 1Gbps service, my download & upload speeds both average between 150-200Mbps when using the Ethernet adapter. From what others have stated, this is a limitation between the Apple & Belkin hardware. I can get much faster speeds when using Wi-Fi, but anything over 100Mbps will suffice for my use, and I prefer the reliability of a hardwired connection. While I would rate the extension cable I'm using 5-stars, I would give the Belkin adapter 4-stars. I understand you get what you pay for, but the price tag on this thing is a bit steep. You won't get the advertised 480Mbps speeds, and the cable on the adapter is quite short and likely prone to fraying when used with a tablet stand (hence, I opted to also get an extension cable).

Sturdy and fast connectivity
First thing - Have been using it for a week and so impressed that a second one is on order!Pros:1. Looks and Feels sturdy, unlike many other adapters which are just flimsy especially at the lightning connector.2. Truly fast connectivity - 230mbps download and 162 mbps upload on a 200mbps FOIS fiber connection - all other adapters I used (including the apple usb3) so far were just touching 90mbps!3. Connected round the clock for one whole week - no heating whatsoever!Cons:1. BIG and BULKY - it is humongous compared to all other adapters (except the POE Texas one - which is like a laptop charger) - however with the PoE built in, it will require enough space inside to dissipate any heat generated I suppose!2. Length of the cord is too small - 2 inches - have to use a lightning extension cable to have a the real flexibility.

Holds up well and works great.
I use this to hook my iPhone to ethernet for faster downloading of larger files to our network. Works great - super fast. Great to have if your wireless signal is inconsistent or poor quality, assuming you have an ethernet port to use.

Ethernet works fine, charger not so much
The Ethernet connection appears to be working fine. Installment was simple. Plug in, add the Belkin app, ready to go. The charger part isn’t as effective. It will charge, but very, very slowly and if you are using video, you actually lose charge, albeit very slowly. However, I’m online in zoom sessions, sometimes for 8 hrs a day. What I get from the charger is that the battery drains more slowly than without it. I think, for $80+ dollars, I should get at least a slow charge buildup, as I cannot afford to miss the last session of a long day, and I’ve come close. The only other thing I wonder is how long will this less than stellar piece of equipment last? If it doesn’t break down and I get a few years out of it, okay then. All in all, impressed with the Ethernet part, not so impressed with the charger part.

The ONLY Ethernet adapters for iPhones that work
We tried a few different adapters before looking online to figure out why none of them worked. Turns out these ones are the only ones approved by Apple. Sure enough, these work great! Very happy with our purchase!
