Great speakers at a great price
These speakers are exactly what I expected. Good sound, fit where I put them and best of all didn't break the bank! Replaced four speakers in my 1996 Jeep Cherokee, front doors and rear sound bar. These speakers pair nicely with my Pioneer deh-1200mp head unit. Probably would have gone a different route if I were looking for "premium" sound but these work great throughout the entire volume range my head unit is capable of, without any noticeable distortion. I would recommend these to anyone.

Great purchase
I have a Jeep Wrangler 2002 Apex. The front factory speakers just weren't doing it for me. I had already purchased the upgrade sound bar which only compounded the the issue with not hearing the front speakers. I replaced them with these Kickers and the 4x6 to 5.25" Jeep 1997-2006 Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited LJ TJ Front Dash Aftermarket Speaker Adapter by Custom install parts. I did have to cut a little portion of the dashboard support, but no big deal. What a difference in the sound quality. The base is real crisp and the sound is so much clearer. I would recommend these speakers to any and all Jeep TJ owners

Kicker 5.25
I bought these speakers about six months ago with a new dual headunit. They sounded awesome for awhile but listening to my dubstep/electronic music has already blown them. My radio maxes out volume at 46 and my bass maxes out at 6. After six months of my volume barely ever getting to 40 and my bass never going over 2, the speakers are blown and now rattle to everything. I would probably still recommend them to someone who wont upgrade there stereo because i think the built in amp in the new stereo is what killed them.

great speakers
1988 bmw 325i sedan, fits in all 4 locations. sounds great, decent bass with ALPINE head unit pushing 17wats per channel...ive turned the bass all way up without the speaker bottoming out, and sounds clean.bonus; as the stock wires in the car will plug right into these kicker ds525 speakers without having to rewire or strip and solder anything...the holes line up perfectly too.also, dont need the grills in the front kick panels, as the bmw's have their own covers.local store said they were too big, but they fit with a bit of room to spare.its just the perfect speaker for a great price, like they were made for the car, definately sound better then stock, and the stock oem bmw e30 speakers are really hard to beat.now i need an amplifier.

Think of these as a midrange and tweeter.
I installed a pair of these in my wife's truck doors. They were not a factory drop in replacement so I had to make a baffle board out of 1/4inch luan plywood. After a weeks worth of break in time they sound very clear and bright and sound very good with all vocals and music we have listened to through them. She listens to mostly country and rock. I especially like accoustic guitar played through these. They make the individual strings stand out better than most speakers I have heard in a car. They are very efficient. They get too loud off the factory head unit before they start to distort at all. The bass is quit thin though. That is to be expected from a speaker so small. Think of them as mids and tweets and not as a fullrange speaker system. If you've got a dedicated subwoofer or a pair of larger 6x9 speakers in the rear I think these will most likely make your system better. They only come with about 2 feet of speaker wire. Kicker must assume these are replacement speakers and not the start of you stereo.Pros: Good price, efficient, detailed, good on vocals, guitar and highs, The grills look super cool but I am not using them. My wife really likes them.Cons: Lacks bass but it is a small speaker. Does not include a mounting template or enough usable wire to reach back to an amplifier. No "Kicker" sticker in the box.Overall: I haven't heard all speakers in this size and price range so I can't say these are the top of the line but I can give an honest recommendation if you need a 5.25 inch speaker. I am thinking about their 6.5 inch bigger brother for my car now.

AMAZING !!!
These things are amazing . i have a kicker subwoffer and wanted speakers to match but i never actually heard of kicker making just speakers . but knowing how amazing the subwoofer i had purchased was i took the risk, and it was well worth it especially for the price i did not believe that they would sound good but they did these things kick !!!!! they have a nice full factory sounding base and are very clear. They are easy to hook up and are very sold and well made. Definitely a buy for anyone who wants good quality sound.

Do not buy!!
Complete garbage!! Do not buy you should look into quality speakers not cheap crappy ones. These distort very easily! I'm guessing the tweeters have no rang and shallow run space! They can't handle bass let alone guitar strums for the highs. I had them installed for one day and ripped them out, complete garbage!! Look into alpine or cerwin vegas definitely!! quality for the price!!

Vendor fine, product not!!
Manufacturer listed unit as replacement for stock rear speakers on a '99 Suburban. Expected unit would be as good, if not better than stock speakers. Well, units were smaller than stock, thus required spacers with extensive modifications. Sound is ok, but not on par of stock GM speakers from 1999. Little bass and requires more power to generate same volume level. In short, product didn't meet my expectations. Just to be clear - seller was fine.

Love them <3
Great speakers. Mounted in escooter hardcases. Clear, loud, and bassy for their size if you use a low pass filter or xover. Equalize properly. Add roxul insul inside sealed enclosures. Get enclosure pans if needed. You should get great bass from these speakers once they are broken in with a few days of medium volume play. I am asked often if I have subwoofers.Speakers have been generally protected from hard rain, minus a few incidents. Otherwise they have spent 1/2 the year, for two years now, outside. Zero issues... I must say, I was very worried because they aren't marine. If they die I'll get the marine version. But I am really impressed by the abuse these speakers take and still sound really great.
