Xikar Cirro High Altitude Lighter with Turbo Flame, Works at Up to 12000 Feet Above Sea Level, Gunmetal

This lighter works well as a torch and windproof coil type lighter. It lights my pipes and cigars well without the huge flame if you like. The flame adjustment is a simple matter of turning a wheel that’s the width of the lighter at the bottom. It lights every time and has a classy look as well. If you take quick snaps or ENJOY your favorite, this is a great lighter.After 9 months of heavy use, this lighter became inconsistent. It still deserves the five stars based on the customer service given. Apparently the company moved and had the outdated pamphlets still in the boxes. When it came time to send back my lifetime warrantied lighter I sent it to the old address. Xikar’s customer service was able to track it down and they are sending off a new one. I live at 9,300 ft. I purchased two of the xikar high altitude lighters. When I’m able to actually get it to light, the life time of use from one fill of butane is around two minutes. A simple bic has preformed better. I’d spend 5$ on a gas station torch any day over the two lighters that I purchased.

Very nice lighter, I use it at 10,000 ft and works perfect, it's solid, burns nicely but it takes a few cigar to get used to the type of flame, it is a bit different than a regular jet flame.

Major design flaw with the flame adjustment on the bottom, easy to change when handling and in your pocket. Get something else, had to return for repair and that went quickly enough.

I live at 4800 feet, and this lighter has been great. When just filled it takes a bit to get going, but after that it works great. Much better than a soft flame outside.

I had the Xikar "Cirro" lighter less than 2 weeks. Returned with authorization to Xikar, defective (no spark), but discontinued. They offer a substitute replacement not rated up to 12,000 ft elevation (as the Cirro is). I decline and request full refund. The Amazon Seller "The Gentlemen's Haberdashery" declines full refund and offers substitute replacement not rated for the 12K ft. elevation. I don't want their substitute replacements and should be eligible for Amazon's A to Z refund.
