There is actually a small bracket that you screw into the wall first and then slide the holdback onto it. **Q: Could you attach these to the wall with command strips? I am renting and cannot drill into the wall.** A: They are fairly light and seem to have enough flat surface for a command strip, so as long as the curtains aren't too heavy, I think you could get away with it, yes. **Q: What color are they? Silver or nickel?** A: Nickel. A nice brushed silver. **Q: Are these good for exterior use exposed to the elements?** A: They might hold up but they are not heavy duty, I’m curious what you might be using them for, outdoor fabric? They are not very large. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value *by M***E on April 24, 2026* Good value for the price. The finish looks expensive and they're easy to install ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product and easy to mount *by N***A on December 1, 2025* Absolutely help me add character to the curtains rather than just pushing them To the side and letting them sit. These make such a nicer touch ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Functional and unobtrusive. *by F***S on November 1, 2019* Easy to install - comes with screws, wall plugs and an allen key. I used a 7mm (9/32" or 1/4"?) drill and pozidrive screwdriver. I also used a hobby knife to cut the shoulders off the wall plugs in order to get a tighter fit against the wall - without doing this, there is a gap between the holdback and the wall. The quality of casting and machining is not perfect, but the holdback looks fine once installed and has no unsightly or dangerous sharp edges. I have a suspicion that the casting could be a little fragile/brittle, but I had no issues during installation. All in all, I am perfectly satisfied. ## Frequently Bought Together - Umbra Curtain Holdback for Window Treatment Drapery Rod, Nickel - Umbra Twilight Double Curtain Rod Set – Wrap Around Design Ideal for Blackout or Room Darkening Panels, 28 to 48 Inches, Nickel - Umbra Twilight Curtain Rod Set – Wrap Around Design Ideal for Blackout or Room Darkening Panels, 28 to 48 Inches, Nickel --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sc/products/1182701-curtain-holdback-for-window-treatment-drapery-rod-nickel](https://www.desertcart.sc/products/1182701-curtain-holdback-for-window-treatment-drapery-rod-nickel) --- *Product available on Desertcart Seychelles* *Store origin: SC* *Last updated: 2026-10-18*
