Review: Good drainer - Very sturdy - In our previous kitchen we had an old-fashioned wooden draining rack above the sink, and I was determined to find an equivalent, but one which could be concealed within a kitchen cabinet when not in use. This has proved to fit the bill. As you install the two “shelves” separately, you can decide for yourself how much height you want between them (although it is a good idea to leave enough space for a hand under the lower shelf to allow you to wipe the bottom of the cabinet, just in case of any stray drips. As can be seen in the photograph, I have taken to putting a teacloth on the bottom shelf of the cabinet, but frankly it is hardly necessary; the drip tray seems to catch pretty well everything. What impresses me is the sturdiness of the design. As can be seen from the photograph you can stack heavy dishes and cooking pots – the top rack even happily takes the weight of a full-size cast-iron casserole dish and lid. I have now been using this product for nearly a year and altogether I am very pleased with it. I thought it deserved a review from a genuine user after a decent period, rather than just a “first look” review. Hope it’s helpful.

**Q: is this the same as emuca plate rack with code 8254365, i.e. adjustable width?**
A: Yes, the plate rack Emuca 8254365 and Emuca 8929765(Amazon) are the same products and they are adjustable width.

**Q: Is it possible to fit these between cupboards rather than inside.**
A: I don’t see why not. Each rack is supported by rods which slot into short holes which you have to drill into the side wall of the cabinet (not all the way through); you then tighten nuts to brace the rack between the two cabinet walls. Provided you space the cabinets the correct distance apart (i.e. the same dimensions as the interior of the relevant sized cabinet) you would then just drill the stub holes into the outside walls of each cabinet, and brace the racks between them. Interesting idea. Hope that helps.

**Q: Will these fit large square plates 27cm by 27cm?**
A: Yes

**Q: What is the width of each slot?**
A: I have not measured each slot, but you can get a dinner plate in each one. The fit is quite loose so it should be fine.

This has proved to fit the bill.
