I really like the lightness and build of this hub, except.....why have a power using lit up logo and why have a stiff lead that wants to stick out? One of those coiled leads would be great, so you could place this box anywhere. I have it velcroed to the top of my MacBook Pro, but it wants to spring off. Having said that, it is light and seems to provide all I want. The previous hub I had, had a power through facility, but I find that If I use the power into the other USB on the Mac, then with this I have doubles the ports from 2 to 4 and do not miss having the power through. I can't see why you would want to use a hub without the Mac plugged in anyway and if its plugged in you don't need a power through. All in all this is a good piece of kit that expands your Macbook cheaply

I use it regularly. My only concern is that it gets very hot when I'm downloading photos. I don't leave it plugged in. Connecting it to the laptop is not quite as smooth and easy as with other plug-ins, but it works well and I wouldn't want to be without it.

Bought to enhance my late 2016 MBP. Used it on a number of occasions but not so often. Nothing problematic/wrong with the adaptor - it works flawlessly - it is more that I am using wifi connections more often. If you need an adaptor (USB C to USB3 and earlier) I can recommend this with confidence.

Works well, I bought to use with the newer Google Chromecast so I could plug in a keyboard/controller to use as a Steam Link which it does perfectly.Have to take a star off because of the really bright LED on the device which illuminates the room at night.

An excellent product for anybody needing to connect multiple peripherals to a single USB-C port; so far I've had no cases of overheating or incompatibility, and unlike many alternatives this doesn't interfere with the Wi-Fi connections on newer models of the MacBook Pro. Highly recommended.

First impressions are this is a very good product. Looks as it does in the pictures and has a nice finish to it. Contains 3 usb ports and an SD card slot - just what I needed to connect devices to my Apple Macbook Pro. The connecting wire is quite short (about 15cm). Great product so far and I am hoping it lasts for quite a while. Only time will tell.

The first hub I bought (not this brand I might add) did not work for my MacBook Pro. So Done a good bit of research before purchasing again, I have not been disappointed with this hub, all ports work exactly as they should and I would not be without it. Highly recommended.

HooToo USB C hub works as a USB hub for low speed devices, such as mice, keyboards etc. However, the device cannot handle multiple Oculus sensors. If you're not expecting to need the top-end of the USB-C data rates, however, this is a very high quality component for the price.
