The Hampton Bay Bentley II 13 in. Tarnished Bronze Ceiling fan has a caged fan design and is great when air circulation needs to be directed or if space is tight. It also has an oscillating feature that sways back and fourth which creates a nice breeze. Operation is very easy with its included wall control which can be installed in place of an existing wall switch. This fan is also rated for damp locations so this fan can be used under covered outdoor locations.

Worked great for 2 weeks then quit oscillating and just kept making a grinding noise. Seller, USA HomeGoods, refused to except a return. Contacted manufacturer and they will except return and try to fix it but we are responsible for all shipping charges. Since we purchased from an Amazon seller and not directly from Home Depot, we could not return to our local Home Depot.My suggestion, if considering this fan, buy directly from Home Depot in case you need to return or make sure seller has a good return policy.

Dangerous and no customer service
Not only was this fan very loud it was unstable and the cage potion fell off and sent the blades flying and nearly killed my husband. When I told the seller they replied “ok sorry for the problem”Talk about NO CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!

I purchased mine fall of 2016. It has worked wonderfully. We have had no problem with the oscillating feature of this fan. We live in a older home wth 11 foot ceilings. Ours is located above our bed. When the fan oscillates it's like being outside enjoying a gentle breeze. The reason I'm on this site tonight, we are looking for another one for our living room. I think the problem for one of the customers that can't get oscillating to work or speed is wiring. If it's wired correctly that should solve your problems.

Falls apart
2 things: the oscillating arm nut would not stay intact, stopped working within 1 day of installation, took it apart and re attached nut to arm and it fell off again within another day.You can buy this at Home Depot and save your self about $60.00. If you go past the 30 day refund time limit Amazon has set, and even though you have a phony piece of paper saying that it is a lifetime warranty, the seller (after 30 days) has no obligation to refund or replace, mainly because their warranty number re directs you back to Home Depot and they will only refund the amount the seller paid. WHAT A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!

Not intended for slope ceilings
Fan is not tended for slope ceiling..picture in the ad has fan mounted flush. When I realized I requested to cancel prior to being shipped, unfortunately somehow it was delivered one day after order and I don’t have Prime. Now I have to pay to ship back. If considering buying make sure seller has a good return policy.

Does what its supposed to do and looks nice on our enclosed back porch. We put it in the wall above the window, instead of on the ceiling and it does a great job.

Very happy!
This was easy to install in our kitchen. We were unable to install the switch for the remote control, but we're very happy. The fan is powerful and not too loud for the power.
