Amazon is always the same, GREAT!
Like I said in the review title, Amazon has never let me down! In the few times that I have done business with Amazon they always have product, user friendly software at the web site, affordability, & I cannot remember me looking for a certain something, & then, look, there it is on AmazonBut just when u think Im done WELL IM NOT! This is of my opinion bc as much as I have to say about Amazon being GREAT every single time for over ten years now, that I have used_ _ _, I have had anything from little glitch of a problem, to a major hell-storm with, thats right, you guessed it, UPS! I dare to say never but it will be a long time if ever I use UPS to ship anything again. Does anyone care that they constantly have liars for drivers? They always & I mean always have some stupid excuse about lost late or red tape to get you measly shipping cost back UGH!. Enough I say of the when is my break & my day off, work ethic that they appear to this author to have Thank you for reading & listening............... Best regards TradeMaster

Works good but not easy to install
Takes a while to dig a big hole in hard dirt for the sump. Using a post hold digger is definitely recommended because it would be very difficult to dig a hole that deep with only a shovel. The pump works as planned, and the kit includes a check valve which is necessary but not included with some kits. Using for small bath in a barn that is connected to a home septic with about 100 feet of 2" PVC pipe.

AVOID THIS PUMP
UPDATE BELOW and STAR CHANGE FROM 3 TO 1ORIGINAL:I was incredibly offended to see how this company packaged this. All the parts were secured inside the tank, however the tank was inside a much larger cardboard box just loose. It's remarkable it was not damaged in shipping.Other than that, unit is functional and up and running just fine. It is not as loud as others have stated. Normal amount of noise from a pump kicking on and flushing liquid through it. Nothing impressive about the product. Pump looks subpar build quality...I doubt it will last that long. Now if I can just get over my apprehension about only having a one year warranty...UPDATE: Changed to 1 star from 3. I ordered this kit on 10/15/15. The pump failed on 8/16/16.The bucket, lid, backflow preventer, are all of acceptable/good quality - however they are just plastic, not much to expect. The pump however is why this kit is so low cost. I did not know what I was doing when I purchased this kit (I live in Texas and have a special circumstance that warrants this). Now, I am a veteran of buckets and pumps of excrement. This pump, as best as I can get it across to you, is a cheap, cheap, cheap functioning replica of what a real pump is. I found this out after the pump failing then purchasing a $130 mask with vapor filters, a tyvec body suit, and shoulder length gloves, and more PVC glue, and misc supplies. I had to crawl under my house, where a giant barrel of my family's by-products were stewing for the last week (not knowing what was going on for a bit), removing the lid, hacksawing pipes, and submerging my arms in said waste to VERY difficultly remove this poor excuse for pump from under the house. Once outside, after I was done wretching, I finally got to see this pump since purchasing it next to the replacement Zoller pump I purchased. The new cast iron pump next to this made me shake my head at just how naive I had been to think it would hold up to family of four usage for any length of time. I'm trying to convey to you consumer - IT IS NOT WORTH IT - YOU WILL BE REPLACING THIS PUMP IN WAAAAYYYYY WORSE CIRCUMSTANCES THAN WHICH YOU STARTED. SPEND THE MONEY NOW.The new pump weighs exactly 44.4lbs (weighed it on the shipping scale at work before taking home). The pump that comes with this FP400C kit is about 7 lbs. GET IT?

Two Stars
It worked for 2 weeks then quit.Trying to get parts to fix it or exchange it. After talking to customer service a week later, they said they were shipping it today. Slow response from Flotec.

Flotec Sewage Pump
We have used one before and it has performed with minimum issues. Getting the entire kit is the way to go if you need to install a sump pump. 3/4 horse power that will take 2" solids are the best.

Poor Packaging and Poor Product Design
This product has the following issues:1) Extremely poor shipping, it was shipped in a plastic bag2) The entire lid was caved in tearing out the bolts and molded in nuts3) The wall thickness is insufficient and the entire side was caved in.A large portion of the damage occurred during shipment due to shipping in a bag instead of proper cardboard. But in addition, this is a cheaply made product - a much superior choice is the Liberty Pumps P382LE41. For a $100.00 more you are miles ahead. It is the best additional $100.00 spent.
