Bison Pemmican Meat Bars with Buffalo & Cranberries by Tanka, Gluten Free, Beef Jerky Alternative, Apple Orange Peel

Good value.

Absolutely love these. Bought them for a quick protein fix for the occasional times when that is needed and turned into my husband loving them so much he usually gets half a box down in a week. Too bad they are on the expensive side. That said the ingredients are far superior to most lower cost jerky. Ordered three boxes over the course of three months and will probably continue to keep them on my list. Wait for the price to level out before purchasing though. Here on Amazon these things, like so many others skyrocket and then come back down to reasonable over time. Wait for the sales. Put them on your honey drop list.

These are my favorite "meat bar" and Amazon has the best price I've found. Moist, easy to chew bars that keep their shape (instead of being dry, crumbly and messy like that other brand of meat bars with the pretty pictures on the packaging). Lightweight and compact, these are easy to carry in a purse, backpack, or large pocket. Great for outdoor activities, or for people who want a healthy, quick snack option instead of being forced to grab fast food or a vending machine item. I have to eat often, and in small portions, and can quickly become hangry, or even ill if I don't. These are a lifesaver.

First time ordering. My son recommended these to me. I like them and will order again. Box however came in an undamaged Amazon padded envelope but it was obviously damaged before going into the envelope. Box was torn, squashed and had been wrapped in packing tape. Weird. But the individual bar wrappings we're still vacuum sealed so no worries. Just poor first impression.

While I liked the plain Tanka bites, the spicy are even better than I hoped they'd be. Just spicy enough to feel it, not enough to hurt. Pleasing flavor overall, with just a hint of sweet. My only complaint? The price just jumped by TEN DOLLARS for a box of 12. Which puts it out of my range for snack food.

I love jerky, no I really love jerky. I eat jerky every day and I ALWAYS have some on me because you just never know when you might get a craving or be hungry. Now the only reason I gave these 3 stars is because I am not very fond of the flavor. Don't get me wrong, I love meat, I love fruit, and I love trying different and unusual combinations of food, but the cranberries just really throw me off. I will eat these, but I won't be ordering more of this flavor. The texture is just weird, and the cranberries add just too much of a kick that is just too weird for jerky. Tanka is a great brand and I enjoy most of their prodiucts, but this one is just not for me.

I just got them as something to throw in the pantry and found out that they are really delicious.The price is a little steep for what they are but I imagine if they could sell more the price would go down.

Great combination of "beefiness" & spiciness, with the tang of cranberries. Not salty or greasy like other beef products (this is Buffalo/Bison meat, I haven't tried other versions of pemmican, a traditional First Nation/Native American food).
