Took a chance on this Kata M2 smartphone since it looked like it would meet all my needs for a price substantially less than the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and 4 phones I almost purchased - most of the features the Note 3 and 4 have that the Kata M2 does not are things I would have no real use for. Well, to my pleasant surprise the phone shipped quickly, was packaged almost like my wife's iPhones have been, was a quality product in finish and appearance, and, after inserting my T-Mobile SIM card, worked flawlessly on my network right out of the box. And the large Super HD display is crystal clear and stunning! No problems with Android KitKat 4.4.2 or any app - including my back-up aviation based GPS moving map program which requires a lot of memory and fast processing. I did add an 8 GB SD card for those apps that can be installed there and other miscellaneous files however the 16 GB internal storage will probably be adequate for many users. Now if someone would just come along and begin selling the custom fit covers and screen protectors I could get rid of the 'good but not perfect' generic cover and screen protector installed for the interim.

Terrible terrible phone, but i'll start with the good & finish with the bad.Pros:- Great Screen- Camera works very well, auto focus works quickly- Speakers are louder than other knock-offs I've tried- Mobile Hotspot is awesomeCons:- Camera flash is incredibly weak, don't bother with taking pictures at night without another source of light- Battery, this thing seems to leak power everywhere, can barely hold a 1 hour charge while doing anything other than texting, calling or browsing the web. Seriously, the battery on the Kata M2 actually drains while charging. Now I'm sure this is just a defective piece that seems to turn up in everyone's Kata (lots of reviews on battery performance). The only way for me to charge the phone is to turn it off, let it charge, turn it on & keep it plugged in til its drained itself again.- The screen, looks nice yeah? Well that's about all the screen is worth, after about 2 weeks in I noticed now and then buttons seemed to press themselves. This become more frequent over then next 5-6 days then BOOM!! Suddenly the bottom 3rd of the phone wont respond. Search the net, you'll find other stories just like this. Here's the kicker, they don't have replacement screens. So you gotta purchase another one...---Conclusion---If you like throwing money around, have absolutely no problem with the phone working only 1/2 the time, and scheduling your battery power.Then this is definitely the phone for you, but if you don't qualify for any of the above or you prefer getting your money's worth; then I suggest you move alongPlease learn from my terrible experience.

Very happy with my purchase. I was debating for a few weeks on what phone I wanted to get in the budget price range. The only complaint I have is that the stock launcher is fairly glitchy. I downloaded the Google Launcher from the play store and it runs much smoother. I am using the phone on straight talk and the Hspa+ does work giving you 4g speed. It alsoplays games very well including 3d games. It does get a little warmBut it seems to just as well as the Galaxy S5 and LG G3 at games. It also handles multiple apps fairly well. It is also cheaper than most phones I have found with similar statistics. Most of them run in $250-$300 range. I picked up this phone for $179. I would also recommend checking out the Kata I-4 if your budget is a little higher.

Great phone. The display is great and the phone being square makes it great to hold in one hand even with how big the display is. The cameras are both great except for in low lighting. The speed of the phone is fast and almost never lags or glitches. The smart wake feature is a great extra and google services run smoothly. Definitely the best phone for the price on Amazon. 100% worth the money. Once you get the phone and unbox it and hold it you realize how nice it is.

I bought this phone as a gift for a very good friend of mine, but they are having a technical problem with the performance of the phone. It is not sending messages through the "Whatsapt feature" and facebook apt without the phone is in range of wifi. I thought this was a carrier issue but the carrier ( TMobile / Metro PCS ) said all functions are operational and they can't seem to figure it out. Any technical information will be truly appreciated. Besides that, its a wonderful Phone.Yours truly Carl.

When I first got the phone I thought it was nice. But I had problems with getting internet service. I went online and solved that issue with my service provider. Now that everything is in place I only have two cons . The speed and the weight of the phone. It's really heavy, but all and all I think it's a decent purchase.

This is a good overall phone. It's a big screen, runs smooth, and the battery lasts pretty long for the screen size. Unfortunately the charging port pushed into my phone and can no longer charge ( I haven't even owned it for four months yet). It's rather disappointing craftsmanship for a good product. Additionally there is some factory software that "pushes" apps onto this phone. Don't be surprised when random apps are automatically installed and are invasive.

Absolutely best phone for the money. Specs wise and performance wise, let's see the major brands produce a product like this and provide to the masses at such an incredible price. I love KATA!
