I expected my computer to tilt a bit when I typed, or it to be a bit off balance or straight up break. I was sooo wrong, this is my absolute favorite product I have ever purchased for my home office or computer. It stays put and when I furiously type the computer doesn't wobble at all. You can see that my old one (grey) started to separate from the seam. Other than that, looks absolutely brand new. The sticky did not wear out (although it hasn't been moved since I put it on the first time) and it removed clean with zero residue. The new one (blue) looks slick. Feels really sturdy and works just like the old one. The new one has air holes, which I appreciate. Since I use some heavy programs my MacBook Pro tends to get hot, so maybe this will help. I will say, I am not sure how well this will work with other brands of laptops. It is going to depend on how the notebook is balanced. Apple tends to take a lot of care in making sure their laptops are very well balanced. My friend bought this on my recommendation (he had an inexpensive windows notebook, same size as my MacBook Pro) and when he used the keyboard it wobbled a bit, only because the heavier components were in one of the back corners, making it unstable. I didn’t want to have the bulk. Then I saw this product from a girl I like to watch on YouTube, and I thought it was really cool. So I decided to try it out and I love it! Once I started using it, it was hard to lay my laptop flat anymore cause it just feels weird. I definitely don’t look down as much, and there’s such a natural feel to it when I’m typing. It’s really simple to put on and set up. It has 2 different levels so I figure that would be helpful depending on your height and the kind of chair and desk you’re using. I like to have mine at the highest setting. It’s sturdy and I have 0 problems with it. The fact that it’s portable and you don’t have to do anything at all with it is a plus. The only downsides - and these aren’t things that I care about or have an issue with but maybe someone will want to know: 1. You can’t stick it on a case that has vents on it. That’s at least what the instruction said. I don’t know how much that rings true as I don’t have a case on my laptop but perhaps that info could be helpful to someone. 2. You won’t be able to lay your laptop completely flat with it on. Maybe I didn’t put mine on far enough back but that’s something I noticed. That doesn’t bother me cause I never want to use my laptop flat again lol I hope this was all helpful!
