My favorite purpose for them is cutting pills in half, both for myself and my dogs. It seems that lots of the pills these days come needing to be cut in half, at least ours do. I was forever looking for a simple and efficient way to cut them down without crushing them into a powder. I place the pill in the “rounded” portion of the lower blade and I can make a clean, even cut so easily. No waste, no uneven sizes. I like the way they lock closed, come apart for cleaning and how lightweight they are.
