Great Product

Review: Works well but way overpriced - It’s about time the Davis Instruments people started bringing their equipment and software into the 21st century. They’ve always had top notch sensor suites but their consoles, hardware and software lagged many years behind. Still the same old gray and black console but I can finally get away from the overpriced data logger and always keeping it connected to a constantly on PC. But good Lord there’s no way the WeatherLink should ever cost as much as it does. I did snag one off desertcart at a reduced price and with some desertcart points I finally got it for about $135.00. It was simple to install and once online it’s runs flawlessly so far. For the electronics I’d give it a 5 stars for doing what it’s supposed to do but only a 2 stars for the price of the thing. I guess Davis is trying to recover it’s R&D costs.
Review: Worked exactly as expected. - I purchased to have remote access to my Vantage Pro 2 (older 2008 version) weather station without having computer running 24/7 if using the older USB version. Setup was easy and received data from my older VP2 with no problems. The phone app and uses very little data and shows readings from all sensors. The free version works fine for me because the VP2 console already keeps a history. I keep the weatherLink hub in the basement to keep an eye on the temperature and humidity reading downstairs during heavy rains when not home to be sure the sump pump is working.

**Q: I slready own a vantage vue weather station with console.  can i purchase this to connect it to the weather app while still using the console as well?**
A: Yes, you can, it is in effect another wireless receiver which does not require the original console at all or can operate right alongside with it.

**Q: Would it work in my car?**
A: If you have a 110 ac voltage power source and a LAN signal with internet access in your car then you could set it up, but I’m very curious,... why would you do this? The unit is intended to communicate with your weather station which I presume would be at a fixed location at your home.

**Q: Will this receive from repeater stations as well as ISS transmitters?**
A: Yes, One WeatherLink Live can collect data from 80+ sensors in up to 8 transmitters in any combination.

**Q: Is the weatherlink live 6100 required to access my data via the davis weather mobile app?  currently i am using the usb data logger connected to a pc**
A: I used to use the data logger on the back of the vantage pro 2 console. When it failed I had no choice but to change over to the 6100.  When I used the data logger I had no problem using the Davis App to see it on my phone. When I changed over to the 6100 I had to create a separate station name so that I could access the old data from using the data logger.
Davis has a great tech support phone number to call. They will patiently (from my experience) answer any questions and tell you how it will work with the logger, to internet to see your information on the phone app.

I purchased to have remote access to my Vantage Pro 2 (older 2008 version) weather station without having computer running 24/7 if using the older USB version. The free version works fine for me because the VP2 console already keeps a history. Well, I waited a long time deciding to get this after my old desktop computer broke that formerly ran my Weatherlink software. It ended up being one of my best purchases in a long time. This is super easy to get up and running and well worth the price. The only glitch I had was in uploading my data to Wunderground as I was using my Wunderground password instead of the old password I had used to setup the Wunderground link which can be found in the settings once logged into Wunderground. I used AI to figure this out and it gave me detailed instructions on how to find this old password needed to upload the data to Wunderground.
