Review: Very Nice (Unless You Have Narrow Feet); There's A Good Reason Why These Do Not Have Steel Toes! - These boots are really, really nice and very comfortable. I wasn't sure if I would like the side zipper, but it works well. The "pull-on" loop on the back is helpful. But if you have narrow feet you will find your feet swim in the forefoot unless you "pad" with additional (or thick) socks. If Reebok would make a "narrow" version (these "medium width" boots felt very much like "wide" boots), then we would have a SIX-star review. I've found that the 5.11 Men's Taclite 8" Boot is a better fit for my narrow feet (they are equally as comfortable, but lack the zipper). Size of these Reebok boots is about 1/2 size big (I wear size 11, but needed a 10.5 in the Reeboks (the 5.11 Taclite boots ran true: I wear 11 and the boots were an 11)). The zipper makes all the difference in what boot lace-up system is used. You'll note that the 5.11 Taclite boots use eyelets in the fabric while the Reeboks use plastic eyelets. If the Reeboks didn't have the zipper I would not ever touch them because the plastic eyelets are a highly possible point of failure. Given that most will lace up the Rebooks and leave them laced (using the zipper to take off and put on the boot) this is not too much of an issue (ergo, no plastic eyelets on the 5.11 Taclite boots). One other observation. Reviewers have complained that there is no steel toe but that the boots are advertised as safety boots. This is neither misleading nor incorrect. Yes, they are safety boots and yes they do not have a steel toe. But the product literature tells you that Reebok chose to not use steel so that there would be no issue with metal detectors, etc. In any event, the toe may not be steel, but it still seems to offer significant protection. In the end, if you're a lumberjack or the like and need real steel toe protection then these are not the boots for you. But if you are a soldier (etc.) these are perfect boots (and as a former armored vehicle crewman I can tell you not having steel toes is a plus: I remember having a pair of steel-toed boots and they helped my feet to freeze in the winter and roast in the summer). Reebok has done really, really well in these boots. If only they would make a narrow foot version!
Review: Light weight with great support. Only 5 days into them and break ... - Light weight with great support. Only 5 days into them and break in was fast and they are now fitting well. Excellent traction and I can easily drive in them. Like the non metallic but they could use the toe cap protection. But I knew going in they did not so I won't hold that against Reebok. Time will tell but they seem to work well in the "moon dust" of Kandahar. I like that the Zipper is a straight pull. My last boots had a curved zipper and that is where they failed. These pop on and off like sneakers and are very comfortable. I did ad a Dr Scholl's active sports insert to them and I think its better that the standard one they use.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: The cloth behind the ankle has worn out after 6 months does the warranty cover that?**
A: I don't actually work for or represent the company; however I can't imagine any warranty for a pair of boots lasting through six months of wear. I have been wearing this style of boots for nearly 10 years now and I had that problem with the first few pairs. The problem goes away if you lace them up tight across the arch (like a pair of tennis shoes). In most high ankle work boots the laces around the ankle are worn tight and the laces over the arch are just snug. This keeps the boot tightly on your foot, but allows your foot to move around a bit on the sole. These aren't exactly work boots. They were designed by Converse in the early 2000's for US soldiers in the field of battle. Some of the durability and protection normally offered by a pair of work boots has been sacrificed in the design for comfort and speed of movement. I spend most of my day on my feet in a highly physically challenging environment and I am lucky if I get an entire year out of a pair. I usually get new ones every six to twelve months. If you are buying them for looks, don't. They aren't designed for that. If you are buying them for durability to last for years, don't. They aren't designed for that. If you are buying them for a light pair of comfortably protective boots which will leave you less fatigued at the end of a busy work day, Do It! (but, wear them like tennis shoes, not work boots. they will last longer and feel better that way) I hope this helps.

**Q: Hi, does this boots have steel toe?**
A: No this boot does not feature a steel toe. The RB8894 is a similar boot by Reebok Work that features a composite safety. Thank You.

**Q: Do you sell extra wide**
A: Yes they do

**Q: How long are the boot laces**
A: Enough to lace the boot up and have some left over . laces will outlast the boot . Very odd question . boot has ample lacing .

Light weight with great support. Only 5 days into them and break in was fast and they are now fitting well. Excellent traction and I can easily drive in them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I cannot kill these things!
*by S***0 on September 22, 2025*

I have had these boots for 8 years. They are not daily wear, I am a professional computer geek. I do however ride a motorcycle, at times up to 1000 miles a day. I do some hiking, I wear them on the gun range. I abuse these boots. The only thing i did to them was I painted over the toe with tan bedliner and I replaced the laces with parachute cord. I did both before I ever put them on. They are super comfortable, I have wide feet 4E, and lately I have had some swelling in my feet, the worst I had to do was loosen up and adjust the laces and it was fine. If I had any complaint it would be that I want the safety toe boots and I did not buy them instead. I will buy the safety toe when these are finally done. I may donate them to charity because I am sick of waiting.
