Directed by Randal Kleiser, this film follows the story of Emmeline (Brooke Shields) and Richard (Christopher Atkins), two young children who are shipwrecked on a deserted tropical island. As they grow up in isolation, the film delicately portrays their transition from childhood to adolescence.
