Review: Excellent bow for the price range and then some. - I was a little apprehensive after reading some reviews of the Glurak black hunter longbow but decided to take a chance at 100.00 dollars. The bow I received exceeded all expectations. I purchased an aftermarket flemish fast flight string and put the bow together after inspection (all was great). Initial brace was 6.75 and with a few twists it came right in at 7.35". Bow limbs were perfectly straight and the tiller came in 1/8" positive. It shoots like a 500.00 bow. Couldn't be happier... Highly recommend.

**Q: What is the difference between the glurak black hunter and the obert black hunter, other than the price, they look idenitical?**
A: It looks like this one has flat limb butts and riser compared to the shaped ones which are different for both recurve and longbow originals.

**Q: Available in #65 ?**
A: No

**Q: What is the recommended brace hight for the 40lbs longbow?**
A: Mine is 55#, but should use around the same brace height. Mine is at 7 3/4". It will vary slightly depending on your draw length and arrow weight. You could start there and add or subtract a little depending on your set up. Should be able to find some videos on tuning your bow. Hope that helps.

**Q: brace height is 8 1/8" with no line twist so it will not be able to go lower that 8 1/4". Did I get a defective bow?**
A: 8 1/2 is about right so maybe add a few twists or you could get a new string 1/2 inch longer to add more twist. I recommend shatterproof archery.

I’ve had this bow for a while now & it has surpassed my expectations and allowed me to find out what it’s like to grow into a hobby. I have the 40# longbow I’ve kept it simple and am now certain I can feed myself and my family or become Robin Hood if this were mid-evil England.
