The putty hardens within seconds, so you need to make the impression within seconds of mixing the putty. Getting it placed in the tray in a way that will ensure coverage of all teeth and gumlines is very difficult too. I requested 2 new putty blobs and will try again, but this is not an easy process. I have no idea what the final product will be like at this point.I got the guard after the 3rd try, and it fits well. It is comfortable, but slightly bulkier than my nightgaurd from my dentist. I was hoping I could wear this during work and be able to speak without anyone knowing it was being worn, but that is not the case. It is not possible to pronounce the letter "s", so you end up speaking with a slight lisp. I was told from the begining I would take my time and send the molds in whenever and that if I needed another mold, if felt messed it up they would send me some more material. When I finally made the mold to send in, seemed didn't do as well as could have. (tried very hard, watched videos many times etc. this was hard task for me), & asked for some more material to be sent to retry, I was then advised to just mail in what had and would be fine, if not could send me more material. When I got the guard didnt fit right, could not wear, let the company know, they didn't send me more material to make & then refused to let me make again when 1 person said I could, saying i was too late. .....They were very nice over the phone in the beginning, felt they cared and appreciated I could take my time and they would make sure it was right, but this is not the way the operated in the end. Still clenching but my teeth are now protected, and I wake up with less headache than previously. Easy to use -- just follow the directions, and then be patient as it can take several weeks for the final product to be delivered.
