Beauty
I have several high end European automatic and manual wind watches that are hundreds of times more expensive than this Seiko but this watch does not feels inexpensive or cheaply made.This Seiko has an automatic mov't [7s26] that is used in numerous Seiko Divers and other watches.It is a tried and true movement and exceedingly reliable. You will need to either wear it every day or have a watch winder to keep the movement going if you do not want to have to set the time and date every time you use it.Now as for the case, dial and bracelet, I do not know how Seiko can sell this absolute beauty of a watch for this low price.It is a beautifully designed and exceptionally well made watch with an automatic movement that would cost many times more were it a Swiss or German product.Get it and you will love it.

Great Watch, Great Price
This watch looks amazing, and it keeps perfect time. The only thing that could be improved is the power reserve--mine stopped after about a day of being in the drawer. But if you're wearing it all the time, it doesn't matter. I also appreciate the glow-in-the-dark hands, which I didn't realize were a feature (and you can't tell unless it's dark). I'm considering buying another one as a gift...I saw this one selling for $275 in the store! Great deal here.

Second time is the charm
I first ordered this as a Christmas present for my husband. It was beautiful. However, when he got it and started wearing it, it lost time. He was very disappointed as this was the reason he got a Seiko, for the accuracy. We complained to Amazon and they immediately sent a new one and it has been excellent. They were very good about the exchange,sending a new one immediately and I sent the other one back after getting the new one. This one has been very accurate.

Nice Seikojust
Day date watch in gold tone shines perfectly on the wrist. 38mm, same size and look of my old Rollie Datejust at a quick glance. Jubilee band is tight and well made, clasp folds and snaps snug. Easy to adjust if needed.I like the lowered crown at 4 o'clock. Time stays accurate within seconds, got it in this AM before est. delivery - Ashford knows how to treat their customers, fast ship and great product.

A Good Value
I highly rate the Seiko automated gold-tone watch (even though to me, it looksmore brass-tone) because Seiko is a reputable brand and the price representsan extraordinary saving. However, for seniors like me (I’m 82 and long for thedays when a single on-and-off knob made something work), this watch might add to irascible doubts that all technological advances are admirable except tothose born with 1010101011 brain wiring.I didn’t realize that “automated” means you don’t have to wind up the watch--which is not a grand improvement to me because I’ve never found winding awatch for a few seconds a strenuous endeavor. And straightaway I wasannoyed to find it necessary to read a 7-page manual before even settingthis watch. (To be fair, I have also received a 10-page Sony clock-radiomanual and an 84-page manual for a Panasonic portable telephone.)The Seiko manual is printed in what appears to be one-point type; besidesmy regular reading glasses I had to use my jumbo magnifying glass. The firstinstruction was to find a “calibre number” on the back of the watch withwhich to select the proper instructions for setting and starting.But the caliber number was too small for me to read even with mymagnifying glass. Taking a chance, I guessed the number and movedon to setting the date and time with a 2-step process of pulling outthe “crown” (winder, I presumed) two stops. Apparently it can bepulled out only in increments of nano-fractions with no guiding soundor feeling. My success of setting both the date and time mysteriouslyoccurred after 48 minutes of dedicated effort and my entire repertoireof curse words including those in Spanish and Turkish.Now triumphant, I wore my watch until bedtime. But I didn’t put it on againuntil the next evening—and it had stopped. Reason: the battery is chargedby movement of your wrist, and after that movement stops for I don’t knowhow long, the watch stops.I reset it in only ten minutes. Now I wear it whenever I can. and it has provedto be a worthy possession.

Unreliable
The watch looks good and I love the watchband. The watch, however, gains over one minute per day, rendering it unusable as a reliable timepiece. My ancient 25-year-old Seiko is accurate to within a few seconds after 6 months -- I only reset it when the time changes in spring and autumn.Seiko has clearly lowered their standards and I won't buy another Seiko again.

Below par for a Seiko
I bought this after having had previous Seiko watches and like the quality and longevity.This one looked good on paper, but within a week the crystal face broke, starngely from the insode out, might have been a problem from manufacture, so had it repaired locally.Comparing the quality to my prevoi=ious watches this one looks and feels cheap, poor plating marks very easily.It has probably took the edge off Seiko for me anyway and probably wont buy another.

Gold already rubbing off
Love the look and feel of this watch. But after wearing it for the last six months, the gold is already rubbing off on some of the links. I don't wear this watch daily so it's not even getting heavy usage. Also, because I don't wear the watch daily, I have to set the time and date frequently. That was to be expected, but just a little annoying. I really like this watch, but its wearability will end as soon as the gold rubbing off becomes too obvious. Pretty pricey for a watch I can't wear for a long time.

Very nice timepiece.
A very nice timepiece,looks very classy,easy to wear,very comfortable,.Size is 36mm not 38 as stated,the timekeeping is superb,lost about 1,sec in a week!which is phenomenal for an auto at this price point,good value for the price offered,if i was paying the suggested MRRP,i would be expecting a solid link bracelet,but it is decent for the price,easy to adjust,can be done by ones self with out paying some jeweler £10 for 2 minutes work!.To some up a very nice timepiece that is a joy to wear,with a very dependable accurate movement,a great timepiece,Very quick delivery, happy allround.
