Your doorknob may be loose. If so, do whatever it takes to fix the doorknob. The angle of the device's post to the floor may be too steep. If so, I recommend you change its length and thereby change the angle to get the skid foot a little farther away from the door. The skid foot of the device may be sliding. If so, give it a surface that let's it bite better.
