Amazing jet!
This is not a payed review. I am just a very happy Habu 32X owner. It is truly an amazing jet. With E-flite parts, It costs ~$1200 to get it off the ground. It sounds like a little bit too much, but in a long run, it comes out much cheaper then operating problematic, $299, scale, foam jets. Habu is extremely reliable. So far, I got 40+ hours of transmitter time on it.Warning!Habu has pretty high wing loading and it also has pretty low thrust to weight ratio. Treat it with respect! Don't jerk it around at low airspeed. Habu has good mass, therefore it handles wind very well. Proper landing airspeed is when you get 2-3 degrees nose up pitch attitude with full flaps. It kinda starts to "tip rock" a little at that speed. That's your perfect approach speed. Do not go slower.I fly it on cheapest 3300, 4000 and 5000 mAh, 6S, 20-30C batteries. With 3300, it is very light and handles very similar to a foamy. With 5000, it gets pretty heavy with lots of inertia. Watch out!Do not cut corners building it. Double check everything, read your forums. Threadlock all the screws!Cycle your landing gear before every flight. Emergency gear up grass landings are tolerable. Just a few scuff marks. No damage.Your tires will eventually wear down and fit in to wheel wells much better. Also please get plenty of experience flying some camouflaged, 130 mph, expert level foamy jet. It will help with far away orientation and prepare you mentally.Fly it off ~600 foot, paved parking lot. Habu needs lots of room. Would not recommend grass. Make sure you have room to climb. let it accelerate to a safe climb speed.Respect this jet, fly it regularly, it's designed to last a long time.
