Leaked from back canister
About a month after a plumber installed it I had water leaking onto my kitchen cupboard floor. I put towels out not knowing what the issue was. I looked at the rubes. They were fine. I looked under the big black canister. It was fine. Then i looked at the little canisters. The back one was leaking. I was kinda shocked because our last system put in the house had lasted at least 3 years. I was disappointed.

Amazing Product
I bought this from Lowes about 5 months ago.Installation: I'm 25 years old and this was my first house so I'm learning how to be handy. This was very simple to install for someone with little to no experience. Took about 45 minutes to complete the install. Results: Completely blew me away. In my area our water treatment plant uses water from the local swamp, so the city water smells and tastes like lake water, badly. I purchased this and it completely made the water great. It's the best water I've ever drank.10/10 highly recommended.Filters are pricey, but a small price to pay for what you get.

Low flow from the get go.
I have had several RO systems in a couple homes I've owned. This AO Smith system was similar in every way to them except the "Claryum" filter and remineralizer stage. I personally think the remineralizer is a waste of resources, as none of my previous systems had them and the water tasted fine. As to the Claryum filter... it's probably much ado about nothing. I had to call AO Service because the flow was so low on my system (keep in mind, I've owned others so I KNOW how much flow is possible). They had me check the pressure in tank, and if that didn't work, he suggested that I should swap positions of the Claryum and Carbon Filters. The latter is what worked, although the flow was STILL less than competitors. Tells me the "Claryum" designation is a bunch of boolsheet.

Great unit for clean drinking water.
Great product, been using this unit for about 8 months in our home kitchen sink. Had some troubles changing out filters called technical support and there sending me a new one. Would recommend.

Issue after four months
Just like the other review said. This unit worked great for 4 months. Then started to leak from the air relief hole on the faucet. I called the company and they tried blaming it on the drain. I told them I removed the drain hose and had it draining into a bowl.... still leaking from the faucet air relief hole. They are sending me a new one. My moms ro system has been flawless for years. I shouldn’t have been cheap.

Love the unit but...
Got this thing at Lowe's and installed it per the instructions. The water quality and quantity was great. But after about four months water started coming out of the vacuum relief port (keyhole shaped hole on the side of the faucet). Called AO Smith. After three days of emails with pics, and calls, they concluded that the problem was that I installed it myself using bogus tubing. I used the tubing that came with the unit.Cleaned the tubes, put it back together, turned it on and it worked for another six months before the problem reoccurred. Cleaning didn't work this time. Not sure there is any point calling Smith again. Overall, given what we paid for this thing, very disappointing.

Leaks from the fixture
After only about 6 months of use, starting leaking from the dispenser on top of the sink. Soaked my new kitchen cabinets and into the basement. Can't figure out why this thing has 3 hoses going into it which makes it impossible to find a replacement. Debating whether to tear out the entire system to get a different brand. Also, has had very low flow from day one, making it very slow to fill up a glass of water. Waste of time and money...
