I cannot speak as to the quality of this product as it applies to mixed media in general. I bought this specifically to paint on the very end tips of flower petals in order to give them a little sparkle. At this rate the jar should last me a long time. You can also mix this product with paint to give it some sparkle. I have also mixed this in with modeling paste when applying it through a stencil and leaving the paste white. It mixes easily with paint or the paste. There are a variety of ways to use the product. The jar is small, and I would have preferred to pay a little more for a bigger jar.

I purchased these to use straight on the nails. I got the 100 jar order and probably wouldn't buy that one again as a lot of the colors are very similar. I swatched all of them and had little to no trouble getting them opaque with one try. I used gel base and top coat with a UV light. My process: base coat, cure. Apply powder with a brush, top coat cure and done. I would buy this brand again although I will probably never run out. If you're looking for a red, you won't find it here. I will also use these in crafting. For those reviews that are complaining the jars aren't all full, they explain that in the description. It's measured by weight not volume and some powders are denser than others so the jar isn't as full. You can tell a difference in the powders that are more dense and seem to have less. They are much more opaque from the get go so you use less as well. Also, there was 1 matte color (white chocolate). The rest range from shimmery to full on sparkle.

This is used in resin to make the color really pop. I haven’t used to yet, but I look forward to using it.

I'm still happy I purchased these. Will be buying again. I can make custom acrylics with these powders.

As usual, I spent hours looking over all of the different mica sets. Looking for the largest range of colors as well as packaging, reviews and quantity for my budget. After lots of reading and narrowing down, I chose this Baltic Day set. Most of my projects are small crafts and gifts so 5 grams of each should be plenty for a while. Everything came neatly packaged and I was fortunate to not have any leaks. There is lots of nice colors but I have to say that I am a little disappointed so far with the purples and some of the greens. In the photo it appears to be a good range of different shades of purple but all of the ones I have are so similar in color (see photos). Some of the greens are that way too. 2 of them look identical just with different names. There are not many TRUE colors either. Such as Emerald green. To me Emerald Green has always been a dark rich green, this is a pastel mint green. Scarlet is usually a deep red...this is more of orange/rust. There is nothing olive about the olive green color in this pack. So while they are all very pretty, many of them look nothing like they do in the photo or what I have always known them to be. I haven't used them or even opened any baggies yet. I am still deciding on whether I am keeping them or not. I also purchased containers for them as well. Oh yes...I do want to add that I purchased 10 gram sized containers so they would not be filled right to the top. I am so glad that I did. I have weighed a majority of the bags and haven't found one yet that weighs less then 6.5 grams! So you do get much more then promised. Definitely a plus! I would have also preferred a much smaller spoon. The included shovel is much to big and unnecessary if "a little goes a long way" and will not work with the containers I bought for these powders.

I just received this box of mica colors for my resin projects and what a beautiful set!!!The price was reasonable for 60 colors and the jars are a nice size! Can't wait to use them.....Thank You!!!!!

They have a very nice selection of colors too choose from for doing my resin crafts, and your able to use these mica products in just about anything.It definitely doesn’t use much of the mica to get the colors I want for resin usage which is nice just means they’ll last longer than I thought it would.Although the only problem I had with the mica was the bags they are packaged in, I felt like I was trying to rip the bag open or struggling to get it to reseal right, so I bought 100 5G containers with screw on lids and transferred my micas into the containers, now I’m not fighting with the thin bags anymore and don’t have to worry about the bag ripping open or it not being closed right. I took the labels off the bags the best I could and glued them onto the tops of the containers so I still know who made/sold the mica and the name of the color inside the containers

After reading the reviews I was a bit skeptical about ordering this product. The stories of poorly packaged bottles was untrue. Each bottle had its own seal under the cap and I had to about pry it off. No leakage there. As for the bottles not having the same amount of powder in them different colors have different weight so there won’t be the same amount of product by volume in the jar but there is the same amount by weight which is the way mica powder is sold. I have a gram scale and I weighed them. I have done custom auto painting but I’m using this in resin. The product mixes well and the colors are very vibrant. I’ve used a lot of pearl powder and this some of the best I’ve had. Reasonable prices and a great product.
