Great Product
I was a little reluctant to try this based on previous reviewers...This was delivered quickly and was pretty simple to operate. It does take a little 'touch' to get the vacuum to work properly...Holding the head in the water and the hose almost horizontal until the flow starts works well. Once primed it has great suction! It is powerful enough to draw small pebbles through. My pond is 10X14 and 3 foot deep and this works great...

FIRST ATTEMPT
First use review:PROS:-Lightweight and easy to use in that capacity-Seems to suck the muck but I had a lot of it so by the time I stirred it all up I cannot tell the job it did other than judging by the discharge-Had no problem with required 50 psi with a 5/8" garden hose-Good instructions and you have to follow it in order- I have river rocks in the bottom of the pond and they never seemed to suck up which is something the wet vac was doing. So the river rock stays yet sucks the muck. Good thing.CONS:-A few simple design adjustments and it would be worth the $72. So the first con is the price for what you get-The instructions specifically say to connect the garden hose to the Muc Vac Body as step one. You have to do that because there is no twist allow meant for the connection. A simple fix would be a rotating connector for your hose but honestly for the price it should be built into the unit.-the discharge hose connection frankly crap. It only goes in about an inch yet there is ample room in the design to allow for a deeper connection. There is a narrowing of the attachment that does not allow you to go any further and I had an engineer on the job! Therefore the discharge hose kept blowing off the the telescoping pole. Fix duct tape together but again for $72 not worth the poor design.-The telescoping pole has the same issue with slipping. Again duct tape.I will update after everything settles as frankly I had a very mucky pond and to review clarity at this point would not be fair.

Patience required
You’ll need patience of a saint, arm strength to hold this thing and move it around, and an extension for the discharge hose. My koi pond is 20ft long and 10ft wide, 3 - 4 feet deep. It took me 30 min to practice on a small 8ft x 2ft ‘ shelf’ at the edge which is only 2 feet below the surface so I could see what was happening. The brush kicks up the muck and then you have to wave it around in the water to suck up the funky water. the discharge hose worked great but It’s so short I had to use a PVC pipe (downspout extension) or it would have flowed right back into the pond. my yard basically got flooded after 30 min and I had to stop. That was a week ago and now it’s sitting next to the pond- I haven’t had the time or patience to use it again. My dogs like to bark at it.

Works well, but with a little help
The Muck-Vac does exactly what it is designed for: take the muck out of your pond. People who have said it clogs too easily are forgetting that it is designed to "suck the muck", NOT all the leaves, branches and other debris that gets into ponds. So, first, scoop as much of the solid debris as you possibly can. Then, use the Muck-Vac. It works and it works well on what it was meant to do. No, you aren't going to give it one big swish around your pond and pick up every little bit of goo and stuff that's down there. If you want that, spend hundred of dollars more. If you want an inexpensive tool to pick up what nothing else will (that smelly, disgusting conglomeration of dead algae and fish poop and God only knows what else that covers the bottom of a pond) this is the best choice I've found. As for durability, it seems well built enough for me. It was easy to use once it got primed. If you take it out of the water for awhile, you'll have to prime it again: no big deal. For our pond, I'm giving it a "thumbs up!"

Not that good
i recently wrote a good review about this product, but I am changing it. First time, it worked pretty well, but very awkward using it. Later, I've tried it again because I has stuff on the bottom again, already, and it is not doing well. Instead of giving you clean streaks on the bottom where you use it, it stirs up the muck and floats it all in the water. It is not stopped up or anything, it just isn't sucking like it should. I no longer recommend this ☹️

Not worth the trouble.
Very difficult to get it started. My water pressure is fine but I have to dip pretty much the whole vacuum under water and then flip the switch to get the suction started. Then it works somewhat, but very low suction even then. Takes forever and wastes a lot of water.

Awesome
We have used so many different cleaning products for our pool and they always suck. But this things kicks ass. Its easy to use and cleans out the pool in no time. Worth more than what I paid for it.

will use the vac as parts to DIY a better one using 1/2 HP
our pond may be too deep and water pressure a little low, will use the vac as parts to DIY a better one using 1/2 HP pump
