**Q: What gauge is the metal? Is it aluminum, not steel?**
A: it is very sturdy steel construction, there is no point that i can actually tell the guage, all the edges are rolled and the quality is very good

**Q: Can the Ball-bearing rails be removed from the side of the tool box  ?**
A: The rails are riveted in place. But not impossible to replace.

**Q: Do these drawers lock shut? I know it has a key lock, but I need something that has drawers that lock closed when you shut them to go in a work van**
A: It does have a lock and it closes snugly.  I don't move mine so I don't know how they would handle moving.
