Pretty fun pistol crossbow. Extra bolts are all plastic and NOT metal.
My greatest complaint with this was trying to get the string on but once I was able to do it, this thing was a blast. Shooting it was a breeze and the bolts fly right through cardboard boxes. The extra bolts were all plastic despite the product description saying the extra bolts were metal. I think this could easily be used for hunting small game like rabbits or squirrels HOWEVER, please do yourself a favor and get pistol crossbow bolts with metal BROADHEADS.DO NOT use the bolts included with this product to hunt as it won't sufficiently and quickly kill the animal (I haven't hunted with this pistol crossbow but after viewing a few online reviews, there were plenty of complains regarding the use of the included bolts for hunting) please only use the included bolts for target shooting. Oh and don't aim or shoot at any person and animal you aren't willing to kill.

Assemble
The crossbow is great for the price. But if you have never assembled one before the directions to assemble it is not very good. I would recommend it to beginners. The quality is great

Junk
The bow was packaged nicely and easy to put together. While I was putting the string on the bow part bent very easily. Glad it was only $20

Definitely not a toy!
Definitely get what you pay for. I mean it's a $20 crossbow pistol sized. The 1st one I accidentally bent the metal while trying to string it up, but they were awesome & quick about replacing it! This 2nd one works exactly as you would expect.... it won't shoot very actually over 100 feet (laws of gravity) but after sighting it in it shoots dead on under 100 feet. I like it, good for small game & fishing. Or maybe even for protection against an unsavory character (nobody wants a crossbow bolt in the leg or privates!)

Extra bolts are plascic...NOT aluminum.
The description says this comes with 12 aluminum bolts. Mine came with 12 plastic (pvc) bolts.
