AquaMaxx EcoMaxx EM200 In-Sump Protein Skimmer

I have only had this em 200 skimmer for about 3 days. So far, after about one day it began producing skim. When adjusting the air flow you want the bubbles to end just before where the trap and the neck meet. One important piece of knowledge is that this skimmer along with all Aquamax skimmers require a constant water level to be sitting in. If the water level is higher it will bubble more than if the water level is lower. I discovered this after placing it in my third chamber of my sump where the water level rises and lowers due to normal evaporation. Therefore the bubbles in the neck are constantly at different levels everything the water level moves. I contacted Ecomaxx and they responded very quickly and advise me I should purchase a auto top off system. It's probably a good idea anyway but it wasn't something I planned on buying and now it seems that I am required to as I have nowhere else to put the skimmer except my third chamber. However, the skimmer does seem to be doing a really good job, much better than my previous urchin skimmer.
