I am flat footed and wanted to know if the 4E is a good size** A: I have a pair size 12EE and and also have quite flat feet. However, I only tried them on before replacing the insole with my custom orthotics, so I have no idea how they would fit, in the long run. With my orthotics, the fit was still fine; not over or under sized. I deliberately chose the SL-2 last as that has worked for me, in the past. **Q: Are these shoes waterproof?** A: They are leather shoes. You can apply mink oil to them like you would to boots to waterproof them. **Q: What materials are these made from? is there any pvc?** A: “Assembled in THE USA” No mention anywhere on the shoes or box of leather. I bought 9½ 4E from MOUNTAIN PEAK through Amazon US in March 2020. So far so good.
