Vet recommended
This is not what I was had been feeding my African Grey or Cockatoo, but my vet recommended this as a much healthier diet than the pellets I had been feeding. I thought it would be difficult to change them over to Roudybush, since the appearance was so different and it didn't have a fruity aroma. But the first time I put some in with their other food, both of them ate this first. Now I no longer give the other food, they preferred this healthier food!

Quality
I searched for a quality food fory parrot. There were very few low fat kibble. This was recommended by my avian vet. It is great and my bird loves it.

Our parrot had to go on a low-fat diet and while cutting out nuts and reducing seeds seems to have done the trick, this food has turned out to be a treat for him. I can't tell how much he eats and how much just gets chewed up just for fun but both our Meyers and Quaker seem to like it a lot.

Vet recommended.
I buy this for my blue front Amazon. She is a bit overweight and the vet recommended this product as it is low fat and does not have artificial colors. Lola eats it right up.

I love them
I love these for my macaw but the thickness of them could be better

Too expensive
The cost of the product for the amount you receive is too expensive.

Great food for larger birds
I prefer the crumbles because I have to mash this size for my birds to eat, but I'm sure larger birds would eat this food. My birds are budgies so they're too small to eat the medium size pellets. Even so, Roudybush makes a great product that keeps your birds healthy. i started using it after my vet recommended it for a bird I had that had developed xanthoma. This food saved his life, and he fully recovered. he went on to live for ten years eating a diet of Roudybush low fat food and parsley (his favorite treat). I now use it for my younger birds to make sure they never get health issues. They thrive on it, and they seem to enjoy the taste more than the rice products.

Awfull due to storage and shipping
1) This is a good quality product for my parrot, but do not buy it from Amazon. Never Again.2) I usually buy this product from Drs. Foster and Smith. This product arrived in good condition and was fresh. But since this company is no longer available (Petco) bought it. No good. So I resorted to buying it from Amazon.3) The pellets were in terrible condition. They were not just crushed into pieces, but had been turned to powder. When I poured it into my pet's food bowl there were a few pellets ( and I mean few) and all this powder. I had never seen anything like this. So I thought that the powder had just settled on the bottom of the bag. Not!!!!! It was all over. I attempted to pour the pellets into a strainer. This was a mess of powder. The entire bag was full of powder. I ended up with about 2 full cups of powder to discard, leaving approx 4 cups of pellets left from a 44 oz bag.4) I bought this in Feb 2019 and it has an expiration date of Nov 2, 2020. That is pretty good.5) At the Amazon storage facility this product must have been banged around in an unbelievable fashion. Bottom line is DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT FROM AMAZON!!!!!!
