Tung Nut Oil Dont settle for anything less than the best. You can apply tung oil to almost any wooden surface. This includes interior and exterior furniture, skirting boards, gates, children’s play areas, food preparation areas etc. Application When applying to new wood we would recommend using a thin mixture initially. Firstly to aid absorption into the wood, this mixture can be thinned 50% with white spirit. Allow the oil to penetrate for 20-30 minutes before wiping off any excess with a lint-free cloth.
