World Class Router at a price that crushes its competition.
I did a lot of research before I bought this Router. I was looking to upgrade form a dual band Netgear R6300v2 to a Tri-Band Router. I looked at Asus and Netgear's equivalent to this as well. After doing a couple days research and comparing prices I decided to pull the trigger and buy this one. I figured worse case I could return it if it did not meet up to expectations. It did and details are below My network setup is not plug and play. I use U-Verse and have to use this router in pass-through mode from the U-Verse modem so I could not use the built in wizard for setting it up. The web interface was intuitive and it took me about 10 minutes total to get it up and running once I got my IP range setup and input the mac address (of the router) into my U-Verse modem. Once up and running and doing some real world testing I only came across one issue that has been highlighted in other reviews and comments. I had to turn off the routers smart connect in order to connect my internal dual band Asus PCI-E-AC68 NIC at a good connection speed. Other then that throughput has been at my full connection speed 75/10 from various points through the house. It plays well with other networking devices as well. I re-purposed my R6300v2 as a wireless bridge to give me a total of of 3 wireless bridges (2 Netgear and 1 Linksys) and 2 TP-Link wall socket plug in dual band range extenders. I have no issues with any devices connecting to it either. I have 3 iPads, 4 iPhones, 2 Fire Tablets, 1 Android Tablet, 1 Amazon Echo, 1 Macbook, 2 Laptops, 1 Roku, 1 Amazon Fire Stick, and 3 desktops connecting to it throughout the day. As well as a few friends who drop by jumping on and off the guest network through the day. This device handles it all smoothly with no hiccups. In final determination I would recommend this router HIGHLY as it performs just as well as any other router in its class and even better it was at least 50.00 dollars cheaper then its direct class competition. Same big bang for less money... I love that part as I like to save money as much as the next person There is only one recommendation I would make for the device and its trivial. Put a paper template in the box or maybe mark the inside of the box with a drill hole template as I wall mounted mine on the back of the entertainment center and it would have made it faster to do instead of making my own template.

YMMV, but a solid router once I ditched the stock firmware
---------------UPDATE (16-DEC-2015)---------------Successfully installed DD-WRT using the beta firmware (http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/support/other-downloads?path=betas%2F2015%2F06-22-2015-r27413%2Ftrendnet-828DRU%2F), and it has made all the difference. Obviously we lose the proprietary stuff TRENDnet adds, but the connections have remained stable, and the uptime is solid. Signal strength is fantastic in, and out of the house. The only hesitation I have to give a five-star review is that flashing the firmware was not a streamlined process. It took nearly-insane repetition of the same thing until it finally took. That isn't necessarily on TRENDnet, but it definitely plays in my decision to purchase a router.---------------PREVIOUSLY---------------I can't, based on our experience recommend this router. There was no denying the price for this was appealing and the promise of 802.11ac was going to be a nice upgrade. I really prefer to be able to flash my wireless routers with custom firmware, but I went out on a limb hoping this would be sufficient as it is either too new or incompatible with my preferred firmware, DD-WRT.A few weeks in now and it has been a lot of headaches due to reliability of connections. We use WiFi calling at home, and it is clear this router is not reliable enough to handle that. We stream media via Netflix or various other services to our Chromecast or just via the smart TV and this router is not reliable enough to handle that. It has been bad enough that I have moved all our devices back to our Buffalo 802.11n router with DD-WRT installed.Your mileage may vary, but as of right now this thing is just about the most expensive paper-weight I've purchased to date. It isn't that it doesn't work at all, but rather the fact that it sporadically DOESN'T work, which isn't what you want in an expensive, albeit fast, wireless router.

It is a powerfully weak router.
This router is so good that makes it weak. I had to restart at least twice a day. Then my computer gave me a solution to change the frequency from auto to the lowest. Problem solve it decreased the efficiency but made the system better. The problem it detected my neighbors frequencies and I had issues with my router. I do not need a signal extender anymore. It is strong, and does not work as well with a SONOS system have to reboot and hope to cone in the same network as your controllers. I had issues with the auto-frequency and sonos worked on and off. The worst part I contacted their tech support multiple e mails and not heard back from them. I rarely tell do not buy, but with the headaches specially if you reboot, video does not run as great either. I thought it was my internet, used a LAN cable and downloads and movies run super fast. Honestly do not waste your money.Update after 7 months of use. Yes this router is powerful gives you great range. I have gone over 2 firmware updates. The first one did not fix many issues. The second solve the issue with Sonos at least now recognize it. Trendnet customer service is less than great is all online and they take about 3 weeks to tell you that their router is not the problem that are the devices tat work fine on other routers. I added a Caseta wireless to make the lights be turn on and of online and it recognizes the bridge but loses it and restarting the devices and router does not fix the problems. In order to make the connection more stable I had to drop my bandwidth to 20 Hz otherwise gets interference from the neighbors. I am happy to see that they drop 80 dollars from the price when I bought it because it was not worth it.Update 3/13/2016, rebooted it now it has connectivity issues. The internet comp@ny troubleshoot and said the router was the problem. I contacted support they said my devices were the problem. No problem at work though. Do not buy this router. It is painful to have so many issues.

Best AC3200 Router For Professionals
Amazing router. Outperforms many other routers I tried and I think I tried every AC3200 routers out there. It can handle darn near anything I throw at it. Range in really good, works well with powerline adapters though the 5ghz band is a bit weak on the signal strength; but it is to be expected. I'm a computing professional and many of today's routers do not want to communicate with older devices. This one handles everything. My ownly beef is the less than desirable interface but I don't believe it's worth decking it down a star.

Strong signal
This is a beast, it is replacing a dying trendnet router and doing the same set up it was seamless to unplug and plug the new one in and didn't even have to sign in any of the devices back in. Even cleaned up the ones that I didn't need anymore

Can easily deserve a 3 story house with soundproof isolated floors
Can easily service a 3 story house with soundproof isolated floors. Our +15 devices are all connecting and it's hard to remember that all this is going through a single WiFI router. Worth the price if you need a simple solution for a large houre and a lot of devices.
