## Description

Is your cat peeing outside the litter box, scratching your furniture and carpet, or hiding on a regular basis? These behaviors may be caused by fear or anxiety. FELIWAY products are a vet recommended, drug free, and clinically proven to help alleviate many of the unwanted behaviors cat owners deal with. FELIWAY Spray provides “happy messages” by mimicking the natural feline reassuring messages (pheromones) to make cats feel calm and comfortable at home. This product has been found to reduce scratching, spraying, and hiding for 90% of cats, and many owners see results within 7 days. Cats are also very sensitive to change, so if you anticipate changes in the home (moving, renovation, recorating, new pets, new family members, etcs.), FELIWAY is very effective in helping your cats remain calm, and adapt to the changes without unwanted behaviors. If you are having issues with spraying (peeing), after cleaning urine-affected areas, spray FELIWAY directly onto the urine marks, as well as onto other prominent objects including furniture, drapes, window frames and doorways. This helps your cat to feel calm, and reduces unwanted behaviors caused by anxiety (like peeing outside the litterbox). This will also help them to stop scratching and hiding as well. Feliway Spray is completely safe for both humans, and your cat - it is odorless and colorless. Spray away the fear, and feel calmer today! Each bottle contains up to 50 sprays.

Review: It really works, even for highly-stressed cats - This product did seem to calm our cat down, but not in any way that we expected. Our cat came to us as an approx-3 month old kitten, stray, almost feral, so she was never properly socialized. All her life (she's now 6 yrs old), she's been TERRIFIED of any humans other than myself and my husband; our son was actually the one who first insisted that we keep her, but he moved out when she was just a few months old, and when he recently moved back home, our kitty was understandably very stressed out about it -- we were finding it nearly impossible to keep her from hiding constantly under the bed, or in the garage behind the toolboxes. We knew this couldn't continue, so I did some online research and came across this "Feliway" spray, and I also ran across a mention here in desertcart reviews which told me that the other brand of this Feliway stuff was not nearly as effective as this Ceva brand. If you're buying this to prevent your cat from shredding your furnishings, I think it will be extremely effective for that, because what we found was that when we sprayed it in areas to which our cat had previously been very partial -- some of her perches in the garage, and other places -- she suddenly avoided those places like the plague. She's just now, over a month later, beginning to revisit and reclaim those spots as her own. However as far as inducing calm, this spray was VERY effective, even with the small amounts we were able to introduce to her awareness; within a few days of spraying this in various places in the house, she stopped running away the moment she spotted our son, and began spending more time simply wandering the house in her usual fashion, rather than seeking out hiding places. This allowed her to become accustomed to his presence, and within a couple weeks, she was offering him headbutts of affection, allowing him to pet her, and purring loudly when he would pet her, even rolling over to permit tummy rubs. If you want to use this to keep your cat from being stressed about being crated for journeys, I think it might be most effective to first crate the cat, THEN insert the towelling onto which you've sprayed some of this pheromone spray; if you insert the sprayed towel first, I think the cat will be even less inclined to get into the crate -- it seems to indicate to the cat that the territory belongs to some other animal, so they avoid that area. Or maybe our cat behaved that way because she was removed from her litter and abandoned at such a young age, so she never became socialized even to other cats, nevermind humans other than those who first fed her. But the stuff is EXTREMELY effective for inducing calm, even the prolonged sleep for which cats are justly famous. It doesn't make them high or giddy the way that tranquilizers can, it just makes them a bit lethargic -- calm in the extreme. It really works!
Review: This product makes it easy to travel with our beloved furry friends. - We have used Feliway spray when traveling by car for 3 cats on a 2,000 mile trip and back again. If it is sprayed liberally (more than the directions state) in the carrier and on the bedding and given time to dry, even the most vocal of cats will be relaxed and calm. The first time we used it, one of our cats took about 40 minutes to calm down as he "talks" the most, but the other 2 cats didn't make a sound from the very beginning. However, I found if I spray a little extra in his carrier and wait about 20 minutes and give it another light spray, allow to dry and put him in, he too becomes calm and quiet. All 3 cats remained calm and quiet for 10-12 hours at a time in the car. When traveling, we feed them wet food early in the evening on arrival to the hotel. When they've finished the wet food, we leave only dry food and water through the night. We take the dry food and water up in the morning and spray the carriers at that time so they have time to dry. We give the cats a final chance to use the liter box if needed, while we have breakfast. When we return from breakfast, we put them in the carrier (which has already been sprayed with Feliway and allowed to dry) and load them in the car. They do not eat or use the liter box while traveling in the car and remain in their carriers the entire time. They have no issues and as mentioned, remain calm and quiet for 10 or more hours while we are driving. I do use the Feliway diffuser when in hotel rooms. And because it takes a while for the diffuser to work, the cats are not as calm in strange hotel rooms. Without the spray product, travel with our beloved furry friends would be much more difficult, if not impossible.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Where is this item manufactured?**
A: I believe it's a product from France Asked my vet!

**Q: Has anyone used this for around the house as opposed to for travel? I spray it a few times only when I have people over but I cant tell if it helps..**
A: I've used it when we moved to a new house, when we got a new piece of furniture, and when guests stayed over and their suitcases were at the front door overnight. Yes, it worked. Spray on hard vertical surfaces on or near the new object, at nose height for your cat. Only lasts 24 hrs, so you may need to reapply. Depends on how anxious/territorial your cat is.

**Q: Can you spray in your hands and pet your cat, so the product is in contact with them?**
A: I think the idea is that an object (e.g, furniture, carpet, etc.) that triggers territorial marking with claws or urine acquires a soothing, familiar valence when the object is sprayed with Feliway. The synthetic pheromone scent then has a calming effect on the cat which quells the cat's urge to mark the object. I wouldn't have thought it a good idea to have the cat absorbing the concentration of Feliway that would come from direct skin absorption.

**Q: Difference between Ceva and Comfort Zone brands or labels, please?**
A: My daughter has worked in several vet offices and said comfort zone is a knock off. The vets she worked at use the feliway by ceva.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The item kinda of worked but was stinky
*by D***I on November 8, 2020*

So we aren't supposed to be able to smell this yet I could definitely smell it. It worked somewhat for my cat, but he still meowed a lot on our cross country road trip. He doesn't ride in a carrier, just the back seat with his litter box. He loves to look out the window but in the daytime he gets a little panicked (why I don't know, but evening and night driving he is fine). The stuff worked a little in the daytime.... I probably won't buy it again because it wasn't amazing and really expensive for the tiny amount you get
